Overall not so good. The front desk girl didn’t understand what I saying. The room is quite big but got smelly in the hotel.
Most important thing is the parking!! There said 24h for Rm5 but need go to front desk first.but I already take my card go front desk when I check out the parking slot it deducted my balance for around RM21!

Booked for two rooms. The rooms is ok. Air conditioning is cold. Nice view from level 17th. Parking is free provided by the hotel. Staff hotel is friendly and helpful. Easy to get food and beverage by walking distance.

Excellent location, room size is quite big and breakfast food can be improved more in terms of variety. Very close to all the main attractions such as A'Famosa, Jonker Street and etc

This is my second stay at Hatten Hotel, a lovely 5-star accommodation situated directly above Hatten Square Shopping Mall and a 7-Eleven. Its prime location places it near all major tourist attractions, and the convenience and comfort keep me coming back—I’ll definitely return again!

We had a mixed experience with our stay at the hotel.
Pros :
- Great location and well connected with Jonker street/most tourist attractions such as Baba Nonya Heritage Museum, Afamosa colonial fort, Cheng Hoon Teng temple, Jonker Walk/Jonker night market, Taming Sari tower
Close by cab to the Submarine museum
- Some good food options in nearby Mhakota Parade mall
Also local eateries nearby/ at Jonker Walk
- Decent room - room size, no disturbance from any other rooms on floor
Comfortable bed
Good shower
- Decently sized swimming pool
- Moderately equipped gym
Cons:
- Although a great property, it’s not at all maintained. Our room had amazing view but the glass was covered in green and black fungus all over from outside. They also never got back on our request to change room.
- House cleaning does a bad job at bathroom cleaning, soap stains all around basin counter
- Swimming pool has broken tiles and too many dry leaves/dirt particles floating in water
- Service is not particularly good, either they do not understand what you ask for or sometimes they say yes and do nothing
- House keeping doesn’t always replenish basic toiletries like toothpaste
- Breakfast is a horror especially during weekend when there are more people visiting
Tables are not cleared/piles of dirty plates all over; the staff is happily chit chatting with each other but will not bother to clear plates even if you request them to, we ended up doing ourselves ultimately
Food is not replenished for long time, we waited so long for basic bread to be restocked
All in all, it has not been pleasant experience for a tourist on vacation and would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

Housekeeping did not come to our room.
The breakfast during our last morning was bad. Food was replenished late, came down to look at very very little spread of food.

Smallest things tell us everything about a hotel.
At Hatten Melaka:
- bathroom sink drainage was terrible.
- base of glass shower area was so dirty.
- shower holder was loose
- sliding glass door leading to toilet also had a loose handle/lock
- zero initiative from reception staff who were doing nothing in the backroom to come out to help clear the queue of people who were either waiting to check out/in or validate car park TnG
- breakfast was a mess. Tons of tables uncleared. Long queues at the eggs counter
