Hotel Luna Rossa

1 star hostel with a 5 star view and location Pros: Location - secluded and nestled behind the castle Peaceful in the evenings - no outside noise at nights. Clean. Honesty bar a good idea. Cons: First floor pool view room is a con - 60% of the view obscured and all you can see sat down is a dirty canopy. Rooms - basic, uncomfortable. One pillow that’s been under a rock for a year and so flat, no spare pillows or duvets like pretty much every other hotel does. Parking - no consistency with it some get charged some don’t. Reception - not open all the time, have to come back during the day to speak to them. Cleaners - so loud on the floors, no point of a DND sign if trying to sleep!! Attitude - hotel manager cannot take feedback or criticism and turns into a child when you do provide it. Overall nice location and it’s clean. Stated for a wedding and booked with other guests who had similar concerns about the room standard but had a good deal on the hotel and not paid full price so just went with it. WILL NOT RETURN

Stayed on a motorbike tour, parking was great and secure. Reception was good and clear. Rooms tidy and functional. Location is great for walking into town. Nice pool and seating area. No food but there’s a fridge and coffee area in reception. Ticked all the boxes.

We stayed for 4 days as we were in malcesine for a wedding. Hotel is very clean, basic and just what you need. Pool is nice and quiet. Room is small but air con is very good which is definitely a must for me. Shower is very small but it’s what I expected. I wouldn’t stay here for a while but it’s just nice for a few days. Honesty bar is a good idea and worked well. Staff friendly. Great location round the corner from lake and next to main part of town.

Stayed here for four nights when visiting the area for a family wedding. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for just a few nights! Staff were absolutely lovely and really helpful, and the pool was perfect for the hot afternoons after a day of exploring. The breakfast at the sister hotel was also very nice. There isn’t a bar, but the hotel has an honesty bar in the lobby which has wine, beer, Prosecco, water and coffees which is easy to use and a nice touch. In terms of location, you couldn’t be in a better spot, it’s not even a minute walk to the lake front and also only a few minutes walk into the town. Thank you for a lovely stay, would happily come back.

Nice hotel and perfekt location near The city Center. Swimming pool is perfect when The tempature are 30’. Short way to everything . Very good service at The hotel, and quiet athmosphere. Loocking foreward to come back another time.
