Hotel Diana

Firstly the lift was broken the entire duration of our stay, one of our party has just had both his knees replaced and they put us on the top floor. They said an engineer was coming to fix the lift, this was the first lie they told us. The room was full old furniture , all of it needs replacing. The TV is a portable in the top corner of the room that you need binoculars to see properly. The bathroom is again very old and has brown stains in the corner of the tiny shower. No air con and a plug in fan that makes an awful noise is your only option to circulate air in a hotel that is like an oven. Very uncomfortable. The hotel is a dog friendly establishment and a nice little dog had a poo right in front of our table as we are breakfast. It’s owner didn’t clean up after it and neither did the hotel staff, so we had to finish breakfast earlier than planned as the steaming pile of poo put us right off our food. The rooms also have special plugs that your foreign adapters won’t fit into. Reception have to give you the special connectors and I asked three times and was promised one would be put in my room and it never happened. The staff on the front of desk were very miserable and did not want to help in any way. I’d rather sleep rough on the side of the lake than stay in this hotel again. It isn’t cheap either so my advice would definitely be to look elsewhere.
