We stayed two nights in Mhlati during november 2024.Its location is very close to Kruger's Melelane gate next to the owner's,Mr. Jeremy, home at a very safe and pleasant neighborhood;He takes care of the guest by himself .The place is only few rooms, tastefully decorated with an small art gallery at the entrance.Our room "leopard" was cozy and well appointed,the breakfast was good enough served in a family style,no restaurant on site but there are a couple of good ones nearby so a rental car is recommendable .We spent a very good time and for sure will come back.The only "suggestion",not a complaint nor a big deal, would be the replacement of the bed sheets for thicker and white hotel style ones.

Mhlati guest cottage is a lovely place and very convenient to Malalane Gate of Kruger Park. Erik and Janet are very kind hosts who are very helping and ready to answer questions about South Africa and Kruger Park. Definitively a place to stay. Valérie & Hervé

place is near by Kruger, which is good if you need sleep around and have fast access to park.Room was very clean and nice, look very managed and functional .. owner was very friendly and helpful.

This was our first visit and we will certainly stay again. Jeremy was a most attentive host and nothing was too much trouble. The position right next to the Malelane gate into Kruger meant getting into the park early was not a problem. Nice rooms with fan and air con, lovely swimming pool and are a to sit and relax. Thank you for a great stay.

Overnighted at Mhlati Cottages before entering Kruger National Park during December. Very impressed with the service, stay and the location of the Mhlati cottages only a stone throw away from the Malelane gate. Ideally located and equipped for anyone that would like to travel into Kruger as a day visitor or as a overnight stop before entering. The breakfast offered was also excellent.

The management and staff is very friendly and the place is beautiful, and it has overwhelming safari element I would recommend it whenever to anyone who want to travel that side of the Mpumalanga province.
