A fabulous place to stay. Excellent facilities, great choice of food and the service was impeccable. The bed was super comfy. We stayed in a Junior suite which was beautifully clean and had a daily clean with fresh water and towels. I had a beautiful birthday and we also celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were amazing and we're above and beyond expectations. A fantastic holiday!

As we walked into to the room we had no air conditioning was broken so the room was too hot and the food was shocking/terrible and my family was sick and pool side was not the best we were out for our whole stay in crete and we will not return to solimar ruby it was a let down and we had a fan in our room to cool it down but all it did was blow dust and the stairs in front of our room was blocked off full with rubbish and the bathroom was 1980s and the shower head was shocking and it is not a four star hotel it’s should be one star hotel we was out 9:00am to 21:30 and longer we did not have a good stay in Crete and we will not be back in solimar ruby. Asked for a latte and were told we couldn’t because we had a silver wristband, we weren’t asking for premium alcohol

My girlfriend and i decided to spend the holiday on Crete and booked 7 days in this Hotel with all inclusive. We got room 106, categorized as a "superior" room. The room appeared like a standard room on a 3 star hotel, and unfortunately didnt meet our expectations. The room where located just next to the road, and close to the reception, where noice from loud and drunk guests in middle of the night woke us up. I had good expectations of greek cuisine, as i have heard lots of good things, so an all inclusive stay on the island of crete in a 4 star hotel, couldnt possibly go wrong.. Yes it could. The food was terrible. The meat served was pork belly and chicken thighs, and occasionally braised caserole wintery dishes from cheap cuts of veal or beef. Pata and rice dishes vere made with leftover coldcuts from the breakfast buffet, and on the pizza topping it was easy also to identify leftovers from previus meals. Pasta sauces were greasy, splitted and tasteless, and french fries were always soggy. It was clear to see and taste that most of the ingridients used had been frozen. The drinks available was "local" beer and wine, charming as that sounds, but obviusly just the cheapest solution for the Hotel, if you wanted a Mythos beer it costed 8 euro. When we checked out, the Hotel manager asked us about our stay, we told him that we enjoyed the pool, and the staff were friendly, but then we confronted him with our disappointment of the food, he acted surprised and asked us where we were from, and we replied Denmark, the he nodded and said that Danes often complain about greek food. I cant recomend for anyone to choose the all inclusive package.

This is not a 4-star hotel this is only 3 star booked this hotel with jet2 we have never been with jet2, This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in we were asked if we wanted to upgrade for £60 each, we upgraded to gold waistband which states you have access to the pool and bar and a room by the pool you can eat in the restaurant by the pool and have some branded drinks. As far as I could see there was no restaurant by the pool just seating for you to eat from a glass cabinet full of disgusting sandwiches small bowls of salad and some desserts, as for the drinks you have only a limited choice none of the branded drinks I would have liked I asked for JD and coke bar staff said that was £8.00 eoros we were all inclusive, so asked for a cocktail note no alcohol was put in the cocktails the beer is very weak. The food in the restaurant was disgusting Luke warm food not much choice salad bar , limited choice no flavor to anything had a bad tummy for 2 days had to stay in room.very outdated room needs an upgrade. I was making the bed in the room and found the mattress was very stained and dirty I call reception very rude asked what I would like them to do about it lost it, told them to change it never seen anything so filthy they did change it just can't believe I had slept on it. I did ask to speak to the manager they told me he was not in the hotel at the moment how convenient. Didn't find the staff very helpful most of them are rude . This was my first holiday with jet2 and the last. Ended up having to eat out there are some lovely restaurants in Crete and bars .

Not the best hotel that I have ever stayed in, I had food poisoning from the second day I was there, I had only eaten in the hotel, we arrived at 11pm and were refused a drink as it was 11.05pm , the staff were friendly and the food was very continental, won’t be staying there again

I'm writing this as I'm still here with 2 days left out of 7....(room 515) We " upgraded " to the Ruby royal suite that apparently gives you access to private other pool( anyone can have access as no checks, and people did). Access to branded drinks ( but when here, only a selected few), not the popular ones. Their own branded drinks and cocktails at the pool bars have no alcohol in them whatsoever!(or very little). Also food is bang average with endless flies around restaurant seating area, the seats themselves need the middle cushion area replacing as you sink in the middle of them. My other half has upset stomach, so we have to pay extra now to eat out( we all inclusive). My other half has bite marks on her legs, checked the mattress and it's disgusting with stains all over it....we complained and they did change it , but why wasn't this checked over?...bare in mind we upgraded to the "junoir royal suite" which cost extra £120 per couple! Leaking pipework under sink to top things off! As title suggests, this is a 2* not a 4*!! Not going jet2 again, thus our first time with them...never again. We stick to tui!

We were a group of 14 boys, and didn’t they let us know. From the start we were all pulled to reception for a chat where we were lectured about how to behave at the hotel. We had just arrived and no one else received this treatment, but we understood why they would do this. However, a couple of nights in, we were all delivered notes to our rooms to say that we need to meet the manager at reception at 3pm. There was no consideration for if we were planning to go out, this really delayed our day and confused us all. When we met at reception, we were blamed for causing noise the night before and were threatened with being kicked out of the hotel. This was a real shock to us, as we had all made an effort to be quiet following the warning we had when we arrived. As we believed it wasn’t us, we challenged the accusation, and after some clarification it was concluded that it wasn’t us making noise at all. The security had assumed it was the big group of English boys when it was a completely different party. There was no apology for this, and it had caused us all to worry for an entire day. The behaviour of the manager - George, was particularly embarrassing. His management style is archaic and we were not treated like guests, more of an inconvenience. Aside from this, we had an amazing holiday. Mostly thanks to Malia itself. This is an option, and I wouldn’t say don’t stay here, just be careful of the staff. Food is okay, drinks decent.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment with my recent stay at the Solimar ruby hotel. My experience was nothing short of appalling, starting with the staff's clear dislike for large groups of English guests. From the moment we arrived, we were met with hostility and prejudice, making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable throughout our stay. It was evident that your staff were not prepared to accommodate or treat us with the basic respect every guest deserves. The condition of the rooms increased our dissatisfaction. The accommodation was outdated, poorly maintained, and far from clean. We encountered unclean bathrooms, stained linens, and a pervasive musty odor that made it difficult to feel at ease. the air conditioning in our room was a constant source of frustration. It rarely worked, and when it did, it was utterly useless and outdated, failing to provide any relief from the heat. To make matters worse, we discovered bed bugs in the room, which was absolutely unacceptable and severely impacted our ability to rest comfortably. This level of neglect in maintaining basic amenities and cleanliness is inexcusable for any hotel. It was incredibly disheartening to see such a lack of care and attention to detail in what should be a guest’s haven. Moreover, the constant imposition of additional charges for every minor amenity was extremely frustrating. Whether it was for using the Wi-Fi, accessing basic facilities, or even requesting extra towels, we were continuously nickel-and-dimed. This practice felt exploitative and significantly detracted from our overall experience, as we were unable to relax without worrying about hidden costs. The behavior of the staff was consistently rude and disrespectful, further diminishing our stay. Simple requests were met with curt responses, and it seemed as though the staff were more interested in enforcing arbitrary than ensuring guest satisfaction. The dining experience was equally abysmal, with food that was inedible and drinks that were clearly watered down. It was disappointing to have such low-quality offerings at a supposedly reputable establishment. The night manager at the hotel was consistently rude and unwelcoming to us throughout our stay. Every evening, without fail, we encountered his hostile demeanor and curt responses. Instead of providing assistance or creating a welcoming atmosphere, he made us feel like a burden, treating us with disdain and contributing significantly to our overall discomfort and dissatisfaction with the hotel. Lastly, the hotel's restrictive and unreasonable policies severely hindered our ability to enjoy our vacation. We were not allowed to play with a ball or jump in the pool, and any attempt to have a laugh after 11 PM was met with shouting and reprimands from the staff. This oppressive atmosphere stifled our enjoyment and left us feeling constantly monitored and unwelcome. In conclusion, my stay at your hotel was an incredibly negative experience, marked by
