"The resort is centrally located in Mammoth Lakes, with the ski slopes just a stone's throw away. There's a gondola right next to the hotel that goes straight to the ski area, which is incredibly convenient. However, during Thanksgiving, this ski area and gondola weren't open. We had to drive 30 minutes up the mountain to the only open ski resort, which was packed with people, and parking was limited. The mountain itself was also overflowing with visitors. I imagine it'll get back to being the ski paradise it's meant to be once all the resorts open around Christmas. The rooms are quite spacious and all come with balconies. Rooms facing the hotel pool offer a better view. The facilities are a bit dated, and the carpets in the hallways look old and worn. However, the overall value for money is excellent, especially with the fully equipped kitchen and cookware in the rooms. The housekeeping staff also did a fantastic job cleaning both the rooms and the kitchen. My friends and I stayed for four nights and made some wonderful memories."

"Stayed at the village lodge to visit Yosemite NP (40min drive from the east entrance) and Mammoth Lakes this summer (especially enjoyed an icy dip in Horseshoe Lake, photo attached). Staff were really friendly and facilities (hot tub & pool, garage, village shops) were comfortable and pleasant. Highly recommended."
