I recently stayed at the Britannia Hotel in Manchester and wanted to share my thoughts. Location: The location is definitely one of the hotel’s strongest points. It’s super accessible to all forms of transport, whether you’re arriving by train, bus, or tram. It’s right in the city center, so you can easily explore Manchester without much hassle. Parking: The parking arrangement is convenient if you’re driving, especially with free parking between 8 pm and 8 am. Outside of those hours, you’ll need to pay, so keep that in mind if you’re staying for longer stretches. Hotel Condition: This is where the hotel shows its age. The building is very old, and while it has some charm, it could definitely use an upgrade. You can feel the wear and tear in the common areas and some of the rooms. Rooms: The rooms are a mixed bag. The basic rooms are just that—basic. They’re not particularly comfortable, and if you’re picky about where you sleep, you might feel underwhelmed. However, if you go for one of the upgraded rooms, the experience is much better. Those rooms feel cleaner and more inviting. Breakfast: Breakfast is a solid deal at just £9. It’s not a luxury spread, but it gets the job done. You’ll find the usual options for a budget-friendly hotel breakfast. Staff: The staff are a highlight of the hotel. Public transportation is also easily accessible, making it convenient to explore the city. Cleanliness: 4/5 The hotel maintains a high standard of cleanliness. The lobby, common areas, and my room were spotless. Housekeeping was prompt and thorough, ensuring that everything was in order each day. Service: 4/5 The staff at Grandview Hotel were friendly and professional. Check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient. The concierge was particularly helpful in providing recommendations and assisting with reservations. Amenities: 4/5 The hotel offers a range of amenities, including a well-equipped fitness center, a relaxing spa, and a rooftop pool with stunning city views. The on-site restaurant serves a delicious breakfast buffet with a variety of options. However, room service was a bit slow during peak hours. Room: 3.5/5 The room was comfortable and well-appointed, with modern furnishings and a cozy bed. The bathroom was spacious and stocked with high-quality toiletries. However, the soundproofing could be improved, as I could occasionally hear noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms. Value for Money: 4/5 Considering its prime location and the quality of services and amenities, the Grandview Hotel offers good value for money. While it may be on the pricier side, the overall experience justifies the cost.

The hotel is very near the Glasgow cathedral. We can walk to the viewpoint easley in the downtown. The breakfast was very rich and very good. But the hotel recommend 's car park Q parking was very difficult to drive to. If you use Google map, it will lead you to drive in the Bus lane. I drive 3 cycle but failure arrived to the entrance. It was our time to find the carpark. However, I found another carpark nearby, the price even more cheaper, it was only charged £10 for twenty four hours. The Q parking would need £16 a day.

Loved the experience went for our anniversary took my 8month year old daughter aswel the service was really good and the hotel its self was amazing the spa and swimming was good ! Overall would defo be coming back soon! Worth it all day long!

Considering it was the cheapest hotel I could find at the time, I can't complain. The location is good, within walking distance of the city centre. It's next to a 24-hour McDonalds, which is even better. The decor is really old though; the TV and hairdryer didn't work. If you're just looking for a place to shower and sleep, it's fine. The staff and cleaners were nice.

Pros:Clean, stylish interior, excellent customer service, smellis good in all areas, shops nearby, big rooms for UK standard. Con: Not much options for buffet breakfast. Highly recommend !
