Honestly, I’m really disappointed. The room was just alright—not what I expected—but the real issue was the girl at reception on the 5th of May 2025. I booked a room with a city view, and that’s not what I got. When I politely asked about it, she immediately got rude, defensive, and dismissive. She claimed there are no rooms with city views at all—so was the listing just a lie? Either way, it felt like I was being talked down to instead of helped.
It was my first time in Manchester and definitely not the welcome I hoped for. If this is how staff are trained to treat paying guests, something needs to change. Either that staff member seriously needs retraining, or management should start paying more attention to what's happening at reception. First impressions matter—and this one was a letdown.
