Britannia Hotel City Centre Manchester

Great hotel right in the centre of Manchester, super close to the bus terminals as well so really easy to get around Manchester from there. My room was really clean and comfortable, and staff were kind and friendly. Has a nice old fashioned, vintage charm.

What an amazing building! So much character and history. Don't expect a brand new room, but it was perfectly acceptable. You can tell it's been a while since they were last refurbished, but for the cost of the room it was amazing. Despite my 3 star for cleanliness, the room was clean, sheets were fresh. I gave three because there was a bottle cap and random pill just under the bed.

I recently stayed at the Britannia Hotel in Manchester and wanted to share my thoughts. Location: The location is definitely one of the hotel’s strongest points. Parking: The parking arrangement is convenient if you’re driving, especially with free parking between 8 pm and 8 am. Outside of those hours, you’ll need to pay, so keep that in mind if you’re staying for longer stretches. Hotel Condition: This is where the hotel shows its age. The building is very old, and while it has some charm, it could definitely use an upgrade. You can feel the wear and tear in the common areas and some of the rooms. Rooms: The rooms are a mixed bag. The basic rooms are just that—basic. They’re not particularly comfortable, and if you’re picky about where you sleep, you might feel underwhelmed. However, if you go for one of the upgraded rooms, the experience is much better. Those rooms feel cleaner and more inviting. Breakfast: Breakfast is a solid deal at just £9. It’s not a luxury spread, but it gets the job done. You’ll find the usual options for a budget-friendly hotel breakfast. Staff: The staff are a highlight of the hotel. They’re very kind and helpful, making you feel welcome from check-in to check-out. Value for Money: Overall, this is a budget-friendly hotel, so you do get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a no-frills place to stay in a central location and don’t mind the dated vibe, it works.
