"Great hotel. Well located and close to the main areas of Manchester such as northern quarter, Picadilly, canal street, Deans street etc. the train street is 7 mins walk and the road there is good to wheel suitcases"
"Convenient location in a funky hotel.
Bit unusual to sleep in a room without windows as we didn’t know what the weather was doing (although we could guess! Storm Amy was passing). Positives of having no windows was that it was dark (so no idea what time it was and woke up when our bodies decided was the right time) and no noise from outside. The room was comfortable and had all we needed. Complimentary tea and coffee and ironing board etc by the lifts for everyone was unusual but we did use it and it worked fine."
"When confirming the order, there was only “payment made in the hotel” The charge when doing check in was higher than the amount shown in the app. It took time to do check in and feeling was not very good. Buffet Breakfast was good. You can order some choices when it was not available in the hot plates. Yummy👍"
"A great apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Bed was really comfortable. Only issue we had was with the patio doors onto the balcony were not easy to use but we worked it out in the end. Would 100% stay again."
"I really enjoyed my stay at the Ibis budget, Pollard Street. Right from checking in, the staff were very polite, helpful and warm. The ladies at the desk were very welcoming.
The room clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was top notch. It was easy to get into the city as the bus stop is just a de seconds from the hotel. The metro link stop is only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel,
Thank you, I will definitely recommend to others and I will visit again."
"Got a free upgrade to room with cricket view and balcony. Cleanliness, location, service and amenities are all perfect. Had a great time at Hilton garden inn."
"The location is at the heart of the city centre with many restaurants out of the doors, but noise was included, especially at night time. Free bus is available just 2 minutes away from the property. The facilities were a bit old. Netflix was provided that was wonderful"
"Strategically located near central Manchester city. Easy to walk around town. Hotel room is small, good to stay for one short trip. Breakfast was ok, but the hall was a little small."
"Breakfast: The breakfast offering was underwhelming, with limited selection and quality. For instance, some guests have reported issues like grey/green bacon and a lack of variety, making it less than satisfactory for the price .
Room Amenities: The rooms do not come equipped with refrigerators, which was inconvenient for storing perishable items. While some Moxy locations may provide fridges upon request, this is not guaranteed and depends on availability .
Lobby Space: The lobby area is quite small and can become crowded, especially during peak hours. This limited space makes it challenging to relax or work comfortably in the common areas.
Overall, while the hotel's location is convenient, the lack of basic amenities and limited breakfast options detracted from the overall experience. I would recommend considering other accommodations in Dublin that offer better value and comfort."
"There was an issue with this booking, and the same was made by mistake on the evening of the 12th of August and was made for the 12th of August instead of the 13th. The hotel was not full, and when I contacted Trip.com and the hotel reception, I was made to make a new booking and no refund was offered for the room. The people and businesses in the United Kingdom have been known to be very empathetic and humane, unlike the US and do understand other human beings. This was not the case here, and I was shown the refund policy by the hotel and the website that is trip.com. Even from trip I did expect more as I booked for the 13th too from their website. Thus, not a great experience. Very disappointed with Trip.com not even refund the taxes. The gym at the hotel is very small. Near the water is good."

Great
GGuest Usernice hotel, location is right outside of airport T1 and T3, 3 minutes' walk.very clean and quiet, got everything we need, room is a little bit small, Apart from the bed there is no much space.Good for people just want a night sleep Before flying
AAnonymous UserLocation might be handy if you are physically able to walk about in the city centre, I have MS and walking can be difficult at the best of times, not the fault of the hotel but my booking was made during a period of severe weather conditions and the hotel staff checked me in immediately, four hours before their usual time and were very helpful, polite and friendly.

Great
NNayomithedivaLoved my stay at this Hotel. It was my third time staying at this hotel. The aesthetics of the Hotel are really nice. The spaces in the hotel are modern with a touch of luxury. The front desk ladies that I met during my stay were welcoming, friendly and had good vibes.Nothing beats a warm welcome.
Check in was quick and easy and very professional. I forgot the name of the lady that checked us in but she was fabulous. We checked in on September 4th 2024 between 12:20-12:50 so the lady that was sat on the right side of the main desk at that time did really well n checking us in.
The breakfast was okay , but it kinda left me wanting more in terms of selection. Maybe beef sausages or even chicken sausages could be added???
But it was still good nevertheless.
The location of the hotel is also pretty good as you are able to go to access many restaurants… and shopping points.
Distance from the Machester Piccadilly Train station from this hotel is super convenient as well.
Would totally recommend this hotel😊😊😊

Great
Ttraveller2002Absolutely loved our stay at The Midland Manchester – everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and couldn’t do enough for us. Every member of the team made us feel genuinely looked after, and the service throughout was faultless.
The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud – we had some of the best nights’ sleep we’ve had in ages! The room service was prompt, professional, and the food was delicious – a real treat after a long day exploring the city.
Speaking of relaxing – the spa was absolutely divine. Clean, calming, and wonderfully designed, it was the perfect escape. The massage was one of the best I’ve ever had – incredibly soothing and tailored to perfection. If you’re in need of some proper pampering, this is the place to be.
Location-wise, you couldn’t ask for better. Right in the heart of Manchester, everything is within walking distance, yet the hotel still manages to feel like a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle.
All in all, The Midland is a true gem. Comfortable, elegant, and run by an outstanding team. We’ll absolutely be back!

Very Good
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a great location, very close to both the train station and Terminal 2 (though some of the roadworks around the area are a little confusing this isn't the hotel's fault). It has a bar and small restaurant with a pool table downstairs, along with some vending machines. The restaurant does things like pizza, burgers, simple pastas etc.; I got in the lift with someone taking some pizza back to their room and it smelt amazing so I had to get one! A little bit pricey, but that's kind of expected for airport hotel food, though it was worth it as the pizza was freshly made. Very convenient being able to take it up to my room and chill out. The room itself was more than adequate, clean and had everything you need. I'm not really sure what more they could do to improve things at the kind of prices you pay for hotels like this. In fact in some ways it was better than more expensive hotels in the area simply because I liked having the vending machines on site to buy a drink or little snack late at night where other hotels have long shut up everything and there's no one about and nothing to buy. It was over £20 a night cheaper than other hotels in the area at the time I booked it so again, I really don't know what else you can ask for. I did try to book a stay on my return but prices had gone up and it was the same price to stay at one of the nicer hotels nearby; if that's the case then by all means go for the nicer hotel but if you're early enough to take advantage of the cheaper prices this place offers it's definitely worth it. Negative reviews seem to focus on there being no hairdryer (who cares, bring your own) or Chinese people complaining about there being no bottled water or slippers something; I'd rather save £20 on the room than some pointless gesture like free bottled water and slippers. Someone mentioned they couldn't check in until 3pm... isn't that the normal check in time for hotels? What are these people smoking, honestly.
HHalfPintSpiritFirst time staying here, the location was easy to find and the hotel was great and extremely clean, even with a budget room the facilities were good and the room was spotless!
Will definitely stay here again! 10/10

Good
TtravelammiThis was my second visit. My first stay was good and I was happy. Not this time and it was only because at 7 am until evening, there was a strange noise coming from the side of the room. It started with two bangs, then sound of machine or a pulley. First I thought it was the lift but then I heard whoosh of water so I assumed it was a water pump. Then two more bangs and it would continue for 3 minutes and stop. It would repeat after 3 minutes. It went on and on and I couldn't sleep extra. In the afternoon I couldn't take a nap. At least in the night it was quiet. I spoke to lady at the reception at she said there were no more single rooms. Then she asked me how long I was staying and I said one more night ( I was there for two nights ). Then she repeated there were no more rooms. She said maintenance will come and have a look. Three hours after when I went back to the reception, and asked the lady what time the maintenance personnel would come, she called them but there was no answer. She checked the time and made a guess the reason they might not be answering is that they might be on a lunch break and promised to send them to my room as soon as they returned. I said to her that even though they are unable to change the room, I wanted them to know that this is a problem and it was annoying me. She made sure to write my report. The lady was really trying to help me and was apologetic but no maintenance personnel cam eo the room and no one said what that noise was.
The breakfast was English and as it is at hotels. Tidy and well organised dining hall and friendly staff. The room was small and had a small window with curtains which was not hooked properly so in the night, the light from the building outside shone in the room so had to fiddle a bit with the curtain to cover. It was still a comfortable room if it wasn't for the banging noise and the machine/pulley whizzing.

Good
SSeñorHotelA great hotel near the airport. The shuttle is 10 quid and the hotel is clean with friendly staff. Downpoints are that parking can be busy sometimes and the pull up switch between the shower and bath tap can be a bit troublesome (room 719) and the same in some other rooms I have stayed in. Food and bar available and 24hour reception.
GGuest UserWe had the window room, price is fantastic, room is big and clean, TV is very big, double the size that the usual hotel room has, bathroom big and clean like new, fan, hairdryer, kettle and tea/coffee. Location is fantastic, right in the middle of centre, lots of shops around, less than 10mins walk to Chinatown. Free newspaper available. Drink and snack vending machine at the lift available. But because the location is in the city, the room is bit noisy during the night. There some free postcard of the hotel at the lobby too.
GGuest UserMy man told me the doors locked yet there wasn’t any batteries to make functional, he also said I looked like a stoner n can happily smoke ****, so I took upon his request and enjoyed my stay to the fullest, was beneficial of the pricing range as the cost was no more then a 3.5 per bedroom
As for the the essential part of the trip, my associate commandeered a new sleeping partner,
So many thanks to the OUO house members for letting us stay in Middleton 😘
