Last year, I booked two rooms with Pierre & Vacances and had to pay a €400 deposit (€200 per room). Due to a payment issue at check-in, I was promised that the deposit would be refunded - but a year later, I am still waiting. Despite sending over 40+ emails, countless calls, and repeated follow-ups, they have simply ignored everything. I am not the only one: multiple other guests I spoke to are facing the exact same issue. It seems like their strategy is just to ignore all refund requests and hope that your travel insurance will cover the loss instead. In November, after months of silence, a colleague named Romain finally contacted me, confirming that the €400 would be refunded that week. However, even after that clear promise, I have still received nothing, and again, no replies to my follow-ups since. The problem is not just the missing money, it’s the complete lack of communication and responsibility. If something goes wrong, you are on your own. Don’t book your vacation here unless you’re willing to risk losing your deposit. Awful company and absolutely horrible communication.
