A truly delightful experience. The hotel offered great hospitality, yummy food, and very nice service. The team was warm and welcoming, which made the stay even better. I’ll surely come back again!

We (my wife and I) stayed at the Soulacia Luxury Resort, Kanha from 27 to 29 November. In fact I am still at the property when I am writing this report. We will be leaving this place tomorrow with a heavy heart but with wonderful memories of the place. The property is excellent in its facilities and the room amenities are top class. However, we were bowled over by the care taken and service quality of the entire staff at the property. Special mention must be made of the Property Manager, Mr Pankaj Pasbola who went out of his way to ensure that we were comfortable and didn't lack anything. We will miss the place and will definitely come back here as soon as we can.

Soulacia is a nice lodge with friendly staff. The property is conveniently located close to the entrance to Kanha NP and the village and its shops are a short stroll. The property is clean, although it is somewhat dated in its appearance which contributes to a slightly grubby feel. The towels are now off white and like cardboard. The pool area is lovely but would benefit from parasols above the loungers to provide much needed shade. The food was ok, not as good as we had experienced elsewhere but palatable and the packed breakfast desperately needed some fruit. The lodge organised the game drives for our group and the jeeps provided for these varied greatly. Some jeeps were spacious, with padded seats and bars as well as pockets for storing water and binoculars etc. Other jeeps were completely opposite, with vinyl seats that you stuck to, no backs to the rear of the seats, exposing large screws that were painful when your knees hit them, and the bars had no padding so provided no protection for you back or head. There is an onsite naturalist who accompanied some of our group, if you were lucky enough to have him in your jeep you were likely to get good sightings and jeep positioning, if he wasn’t in your jeep he would forget that you were part of a group, pushing his jeep to the front often at the expense of other jeeps in his group. There lacked a consistent and cohesive approach to the team drives, resulting in very different experiences for everyone. Credits cards are not accepted for payment of your bar bill. WiFi is only available in the communal areas. Overall not a bad place, but could be better.
