This villa is as big as it looks on their website with amazing view. However, it is quite rundown and needs a refresh, especially the toilet.
The toilet bowl has stains and the overall bathing area are mouldy. I understand we’re in the middle of nature but I would expect better maintenance. Plus the water pressure was low.
Maybe it was the rainy season (it rains every evening/overnight), the area is filled with millipedes everywhere, the worst part is that they are in the villa as the doors/sliding doors have gaps. We’re fine if the insects stay outdoors but the millipedes enter our villa every single time and they appear at every creak of the villa. It was tiring trying to keep them out of the villa.
The redeeming factor for the villa is really the view, the Indonesian cuisine at Aura and their prompt service. The view is as amazing as you see on their website, if not more. And they have exceptional food at their restaurant and the service was superb.
And yes, there are monkeys in the morning and evenings. The staffs will inform you upon check-in, to lock the doors and avoid eye contact.

The room has a stunning view. Our 12D villa's living room has a 270-degree glass view, which will make you stay on the sofa and don't want to move. The most worthwhile thing to try is the spa. The three technicians all have good skills. I had it three times during my 5-day stay. It is very cost-effective. The restaurant's food is also very good, but the selection of dishes is a bit limited. But maybe the room is too big, so cleaning it is a bit stressful, not hygienic enough, and the floor is not safe to walk on barefoot. Moreover, it is located in a remote location on the mountain, and it is not very convenient to go anywhere. There are a lot of charcoal bugs on the mountain, which is unavoidable, but it may not be suitable for ladies who are afraid of insects, because they can really get into every hole.

We had the most amazing stay at Selong Selo Resort. Unbeatable views from the villa! The resort got all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay with a fairly well equipped gym. Super friendly staff as well! We stayed for 48 nights and will definitely come back!

The staff at this resort are exceptionally helpful and friendly. They helped us find a local driver for the duration of our stay (7 days) as well as recommending local places to see and the best places to go snorkelling. The food at the resort was exceptional but possibly the best value and experience they offer was in the spa. The staff were very experienced and the surroundings are second to none Would highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday

The best week ever. Incredibly spacious and luxurious villas, a short ride from the epic surf beaches of Lombok. The food, service and overall hospitality was outstanding. The staff were all highly conversant in English, engaging and warm with the kids. Loads for kids to do. My daughter even had a special gluten free menu made for her. Nothing was too much trouble. We will be back!!

Selong Selo is a very special place. This is our 3rd trip there and each time just gets better. The view is unbeatable. The villas are gorgeous, well maintained and with everything you need. The service is fantastic, the staff speak great English too, which is a bonus. I recommend having the private BBQ on your villa balcony…the seafood and sauces and yummy! In fact all the food is cooked to a great standard, the French toast at breakfast is another one not to miss. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, where you have the option of exploring if you want or being fully taken care of from in villa massages to dining, this is the place! I miss it already!

We had a 2 night stay at the Amazing Selo Selo resort! The villa was beyond our wildest dreams. The ambience was stunning as was the view of Selong Belanak bay. Attention to our whims were catered for from the amazing staff & nothing was a problem. The restaurant served 5 star food & this included room service. We have been to Selong Selo before. As it is perched in the most wonderful position overlooking jungle, rice paddies and the stunning Selong Belanak beach, it's hard not to be stunned by the setting here. We really enjoyed our trip in May, in the early summer season where the greenery was still vibrant and the air fresh. The staff at S. Selo are excellent, as is the hospitality. Our two weeks was peaceful and perfect for us as a couple with our own infinity pool. The location is perfect for day trips around the south and west Lombok and we discovered some hidden gems of stunning little islands that few tourists know about. And the waterfalls are probably better than Bali for thaf pure nature vibe. Will definitely return to explore some more. Thank you S. Selo for looking after us and for your commitment to sustainable development.
