"The rooms were not ready when we arrived. And we already arrived late. There are a lot of people checking in. We waited for a while and because of that the receptionist offered to give us a late check out of until 2pm. When it still took sometime to prepare the rooms, she offered to extend our check out until 3pm and upgraded the 2 rooms to executive suite and junior suite without any fee, while the 2 rooms are twin bed, hence all is well. I think the housekeeping staff are either slow or undermanned. Nevertheless, the front desk staff kept on apologizing and were very nice. It’s not their fault so I understand. We just walked to Okada, then in the morning heard mass at St. John Paul II church in Aseana City. The breakfast is fine. Our stay all in all was good. Thanks."
"peaceful & quiet place; prompt and polite service attendants; accessible to nearby fine dining restos, convenience stores and street food stalls; reasonable price with online booking making it convenient to choose rooms and dates of stay; maybe add cottonbuds, small toaster or microwave oven for heating soups or leftovers; we had a great stay thank tou"
"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were friendly and accommodating, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was very convenient. The overall ambiance was relaxing and perfect for a getaway. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great service and value!"
"The Hotel was placed a small distance from the Naia T3 airport. You can get there by using the Runway Manila bridge. A good 5 mins walk.
Staff were very polite, helpful and all smiles.
The gym was clean and equipments looked new.
The pool was clean, and the drink was delish. Kudos to the bartender!"
"My overall experience was just fine. It was my first time booking an IHG hotel, and I sent a special request that unfortunately wasn’t granted — or maybe just forgotten. On the bright side, I did get to enjoy the late check-out perk, which I appreciated.
Breakfast was okay, but not something I’d particularly look forward to having again.
In our room, the left bedside lamp wasn’t working, and while the other lamp functioned, its protective cover was already shattered, which was a bit disappointing to see.
Check-out was smooth and quick. The staff simply confirmed that payment was settled and let me drop off the room keys — they didn’t even check the room anymore! 😅
Location-wise, it’s great if you have a flight in or out of Terminal 3, since it’s within walking distance. The Newport Mall is also conveniently located just across the street."

"Amazing stay in the Philippines!
I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm smiles and excellent service. The reception team was always helpful, quick to answer my questions and ready to assist with anything I needed.
One of the highlights was the security staff – very professional, attentive, and always making sure guests felt safe. They were not only protective but also super friendly and willing to help with directions or even small favors.
The overall customer service was outstanding. Every interaction showed care and dedication, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was cozy, the location convenient, and I felt comfortable at all times.
I truly appreciated the effort of the whole team and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Philippines. I left with great memories and will surely stay here again on my next visit!"
"Great service. Gym is well equipped and clean. Housekeeping is attentive and friendly. Close to century shopping centre. Did not give bathrobe for use. Otherwise, great hotel at good value."
"We got charge 1,500 for early check in and that’s ok with us. We badly need sleep from our trip. The place was a bit old but clean and carpet needs to be change just my suggestion because it makes the room look old. The staff are super nice and helpful."

Great
11714_RMHad a little hiccup before check-in cause i was supposed to wait in the lobby for my check in time but there were a lot of people in the lobby and i think they were filming a movie or something. It was a bit inconvenient but luckily there was a coffee place beside the hotel. Altho its not their fault cause i was the one who got there early but it would have been nice if they offered a place where waiting guests can lounge.
The front desk was so kind to check me in a little bit earlier. The room was spacious and neat. Altho the A/C was so cold at 20 degrees but was able to manage. I was only able to explore other amenities in the hotel at night but i think it would have been fun and full of life during the day.
The staff were so jolly and corteous, and was swift to cater my needs and requests, altho it wasnt that many. The security were so kind and i can say that they really do well with their job keeping the guests and the staff safe. A special thank you to K9 Handler Joven, Rey, Windel, Jeff, Jayson, Dinnes, and Sabando– who were always ready to open the door, quick to assist, and greet me and other guests. I felt really safe.
I have booked a lot of hotels in manila and all of it were just subpar. My stay in Lyf Malate was the best so far and would come back the next time i have to be in manila.
Thank you so much!

Great
SseylormuhnRooms are spacious, clean, and homey. The view from the 5th floor is also nice. The hotel itself is large, you can get lost. It has a very titanic-y lobby but crowded with people due to a lot of events being held at the hotel. Service is also good, not the lobby restaurant tho. We were seated for 20mins but no one approached us to take our orders since everyone was busy. So we missed the afternoon tea. Breakfast is also fine, not as much compared to other 5-star hotels but good enough.
Amenities, not so much - instant coffee (could have atleast a drip coffee if espresso machine is expensive), no stock in the fridge. Was not able to use the pool since it was also crowded. Overall stay was good. Hotel is recommended.
OOvidiuLWell located hotel, at walking distance from historical downtown - where most of touristic spots could be found, the venue looks as something with a great past. With some refurbishing, renovation, it could also have a great future. Staff is helpfull, they compensate the issues the hotel encounters. Good breakfast, various products to choose from. Small open air pool but sufficient to enjoy during hot wheather (we never used during our stay as was raining too much). Rooms need to be refurbished, many things need to be improved

Very Good
GGuest UserThe place is very convenient for the embassy. It’s clean for the most part. The bathtub is a plus. And enough hot water for the bath. Typically, if hotels here have bathtubs, they tend to run out of hot water. So it isn’t pleasurable. They had both.. so a plus!
However, we stayed 3 nights. They said it was a deposit of 1,000. I prepared 1000 pesos. But when I got there, she said it’s 1,000 per night. I didn’t bring enough for 3,000.. So thankfully she allowed me to just give 1,000 pesos. And it was returned with check out.
The breakfast was ok. However, the eggs are a bit undercooked. Really undercooked actually. One day I got sick. But I’m also pregnant, so it could have been from that also. (I didn’t eat any scrambled eggs) but not a lot of variety for 3 days. Mostly the same items.
When we arrived the shampoo container was open. But they forgot to fill it. We finally said something on the 3rd day.
Carpet feels a little outdated. And full of dirt. Should have some slippers or something for carpeted areas.
Over all it wasn’t horrible. We have stayed in worse. But for the price. I don’t know that I would pay that for it again. We’ve stayed in nicer hotels for less.

Very Good
GGuest UserI think this hotel is generally not bad! other than the air conditioner is abit old school and requires some climbing to adjust the temperature. there's no fixed temperature to it too so have to see whether how cold u want it to be, the fan speed etc etc. forgot to take pictures around the hotel but the hotel is quite decent!

GGuest UserWriting a review for a hotel can be super helpful for others who are planning their stay. Here's a quick rundown on how to do it:
1. *Be specific*: Mention the room type, amenities, and services you used.
2. *Share your experience*: Talk about the good and the bad. Be honest about cleanliness, staff friendliness, and overall comfort.
3. *Highlight the best parts*: Did the breakfast buffet rock? Mention it! Was the Wi-Fi super fast? Give 'em props!
4. *Provide constructive feedback*: If something went wrong, suggest how they could improve.
5. *Include photos or videos*: Visuals can give potential guests a better idea of what to expect.
6. *Keep it concise*: Aim for a few paragraphs at most. You want to make your point without overwhelming readers.
Example:
”We stayed at the Hotel Sogo Malate for a night, and it was so good. The room was comfy and clean, the staff was super friendly. I love the food at the restaurant we ordered pinakbet, bulalo and halo-halo so delicious. However, the network signal was sketchy but there’s wifi naman. Overall, I'd recommend it for its location and decent prices.
How's that? Want more tips?

JJohn Mungcal Sr.Staffs are friendly; one thing notable is the way the receptionist will find ways to make it easy for me to present other means of valid identification as I forgot to bring my original ID; she also mentioned the unavailability of some regular stuff being given to their customers due to holiday staffing limitation and supply deliveries. One of the cheapest but cleanest go-to hotels.
Famous fast food restaurants are just a few meters away, such as Mang Inasal and Jollibee. Other fast foods are plenty, the same with local carinderias, as well as convenience stores and bakeries, which are all a walk away only.
Very near government hospitals, namely Jose Reyes, Fabella, and San Lazaro. Leading banks are also in sight to access ATMs and other monetary needs.
Public transport is readily available esp LRT 1 Tayuman Station is just around the corner only
BBrendon VWe had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed and all the necessary amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet and the relaxing ambiance throughout the property. The location was also perfect—conveniently close to key attractions and public transport. Housekeeping was prompt and attentive, ensuring our stay was stress-free. Overall, it was a pleasant experience that exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and great service.
