When we arrived at the property, we were greeted by Chris. He was amazing! He was efficient and very friendly. He made us feel like we were the most important guests at the hotel. We were excited about being there because of our first impression. I was thinking to myself, ”I picked a good hotel!” At first glance, our room seemed clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and at night, the shades kept all the light out and we slept well. The first thing we noticed was black marks on a pillowcase. No big deal...we just won't use that pillow. Then on one of the comforters, there was a lipstick stain or something red, and the bed linens did not have a freshly washed smell. They had that slightly sweaty hair smell. That tells me, the property doesn't wash or change the comforters after each guest leaves. That evening as we showered, I noticed the bathroom floors were sticky, a black ring around the tub, and a strange white blob on the wall next to the toilet. The next morning as we left, I mentioned the bathroom issues to the front desk. When we returned to our room that evening, not only did they not clean the bathroom, we did not receive any housekeeping at all...except the trash was emptied. I went downstairs to get fresh towels and told the front desk about the lack of housekeeping and told her about the bathroom...again. The next day...same thing!! We were at this property Thursday through Monday. Not once did we receive housekeeping! Each evening, I would go down, get fresh towels and tell the front desk about the bathroom and that we were not receiving housekeeping. On the last day of our stay, I noticed something in the bottom of the coffee maker (which we did not ever use, thankfully). I removed the tray and on my! So much mold!! My plans were to mention all this to the manager as we left. But as I went to check out, there was no one at the front desk. It's unfortunate that the property doesn't receive proper attention to detail. It's a good location in the Austin area.
