Lovely stay in a converted old house down a quiet side street in the old part of Mardin. Room was comfortable and had amazing views over the plains of Mesopotamia. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice Turkish style breakfast in the morning. Terraces at different levels throughout the hotel to relax on and enjoy the views

Staying in Ankahan Konaği was a dream come true. It is a place full of history that transports you to another time. The decoration of its rooms is magnificent and the views you can admire from its terraces is from another world. During the day the golden colors of the stone glow and by night the place has a melancholic feel that makes you wish to stay there forever. The Turkish breakfast they serve is delicious and the staff could not be more welcoming, friendly and helpful. We already want to go back!

We loved our three night stay here. The konak is spotless, the rooms are decorated in traditional style, with a decent en-suite shower room. Everything worked properly. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of little bits and pieces as well as eggs and bread, and chips!(fries) , taken on the terrace with sweeping views of the Mesopotamian plain. A special shout goes to Elif on the front desk who was so friendly and helpful, and went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. It’s in a quiet location, about a two minute walk from the main drag, with a lovely little bar en route!

I had the opportunity to stay in Ankahan for 2 nights. The hotel was centrally located. The terrace view was excellent. The rooms and the hotel interior were very clean and the staff were friendly, especially Ahmet Bey helped us a lot. If I go to Mardin again, my address is clear.
