Room was good. Only problem was they are doing a lot of building work to the hotel so a lot of noise early on!!!

We often come here and was looking forward to seeing the revamp . The Self Check-In is in the new bar area and if it doesn’t work you have to wait at the bar to check in between the tables , chairs and guests with your cases and family , so avoid arriving at meal times and evenings when the bar is busy. The new re vamp has made it look really lovely but it is no longer wheelchair or child friendly. There is very little space for wheelchair users to independently move around the restaurant nor get anything themselves for breakfast , as everything is so high up ! The old restaurant catered for everyone and sadly the new one doesn’t. The forks bend as you use them, the food quality was budget and took far too long to arrive at the table and then needed to be sent back as the eggs were like rubber. The drinks at the bar are astronomical ! 330ml of zero Coca Cola ( a can size ) over £3.00 ! Rooms are still the same but wasn’t pleased that for the whole of our stay the dirty laundry was left right by the lifts all day and night . Check-In awful and it’s far better to walk down the road to restaurants and bars that are more affordable and child and disabled friendly.

PROS - We were in the second block behind the main building and we really loved the room, it was really modern and well laid out - Room impeccably clean as always with Premier Inn - Powerful shower - And, it goes without saying, as always with Premier Inn, fantastic staff, where do they get them from? - Only a 10 min walk from the historic centre and right opposite a lovely beach so great for kids - Great value for money, especially if you book early. We booked on standard rate and got a great rate. Non refundable but you can move the dates if needed. Now for the CONS - I really hated that the windows won't open (why??). The room smelt fresh but I much prefer fresh air and could not understand why they couldn't be made to open. I would hesitate to stay in this hotel again for this reason. - Also bear in mind there is no lift so you have to drag your cases upstairs. I struggle with stairs and didn't think to ask for a ground floor room as I just assumed there would be a lift - never assume! Staff may well have moved us had we asked but we were so tired we didn't have the energy to go back down again and ask, especially as they had already moved us once due to the first room smelling of cigarette smoke (how selfish of the previous occupant) - The mattress protectors make me sweat at night. This is always the case with Premier Inn. I don't have this issue with Travelodge and again this does put me off this chain of hotels as they all seem to be like this. - No extra spare pillow - unusual for Premier Inn. Again, staff would probably have got one if we had asked but we could not face the stairs again after a long day walking round Margate. So I really liked the room but would struggle to stay again due to the window and mattress protector issues.

We have stayed here several times as my wife is a mobility scooter user. We are always provided with a ground floor room but choose a standard room rather than an "accessible" room because the bed is higher and easier to get up from. The location of the property makes it easy for my wife to travel by scooter into town and therefore maintain her independence. The recently introduced "Meal Dea" is excellent value as it includes a full breakfast next morning.

We really enjoyed our stay, even with the building works. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The breakfast was lovely and the location is amazing. The restaurant area is nice, and well run. It’s much better than the ones in Whitstable and Herne bay.

Currently being refurbished, but seems acceptable quality for good price regardless. Was accepting when arriving near midnight from business in London. Very accommodating for breakfast that was not booked and was tasty. Room could use some improvements, but overall perfect for 1 night business stop. Very clean and comfortable.only down side was in morning on way to enquire about breakfast, traveling from top to ground floor when a foreign couple encouraged then young child to run ahead and press slevatir. Disappointed this happened a second time returning to my room from ground to second floor. This time it was foreign male and female aged around 13 years of age and left unaccompanied. They Very quickly scarpered back to their rooms when seen.

I really enjoyed my stay at Margate Premier Inn. My room was comfortable, spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely. And it is in a very convenient location, close to both the sea and the railway station

Currently under construction works and is definitely in need of a bit of tender loving care. The rooms were clean but tired. The room had all the essentials and was value for money in a good location. The bar and restaurant is part open due to the construction works but had no draft beer and new staff had issues locating correct tables which is understandable for a new bar but someone with experience working alongside the team probably would have helped. Good for a one night stay.
