Punta Duarte Garden Inn

I’ve been to Punta Duarte Garden Inn many times. Definitely my favorite in Panama. If you want a quiet vacation with easy access to a nearly private beach, this is the place. There is also a pool for those who prefer. The place is always immaculately and air conditioned rooms with comfortable beds lead to a good night’s rest. The owner Gaby and her staff are quick to respond to requests. If fishing is your thing, Moises is available to take you by boat to the famed Panama tuna coast for an adventure trolling for tuna, snapper and other coastal are fish. One thing to note, the food leading from the highway is uphill and unpaved. It can be traversed with a standard 2 wheel drive vehicle, but it should have clearance room such as a SUV as there are ruts in the road. Of course, a 4 wheel drive vehicle can make it in any condition.

The Punta Duarte Garden Inn is a peaceful haven immersed into a lush green garden surrounded by an immense property that stretches from the picturesque virtually private beach to the hilly landscape. Breathtaking views of the ocean from different angles make for wonderful pictures. A three minute walk takes you along a path through the forest down to the beach. The house itself is beautiful with its generous open spaces and terraces and boasts an enormous very well kept pool. The spacious rooms are spotlessly clean and cozy and are equipped with very comfortable beds. The breakfast menu offers everything from salty to sweet and healthy, with eggs, tortillas, pancakes, smoothies and freshly made delicious juices. Both lunch and dinner menus change every day, there is certainly something for everyone at very reasonable prices. Staff are discreet, but very friendly and helpful, as is Gabi, the owner, whose cordiality is heartwarming. Even the two canine residents, two very friendly playful dogs. breathe the spirit of calm relaxation. We absolutely recommend this destination for travellers who enjoy nature, tranquility, a quiet hideaway from the crowds and good food in a wonderful setting.

Excelent hotel, personnel is very kind and gives ypu a warm wellcome. Hotel is located on a wonderful area with an amazing view of the south coast of Veraguas (Mariato) with Cebaco Island just in front. Hotel has a wonderful private beach. A perfect place to relax, enjoy nature and the magestuosity of the Pacific Ocean. Food on the restaurant is also great. Maybe the only missing thing is that there are no TV's on the rooms, but who needs a TV with all that nature for you to appreciate.

Punta Duarte Garden Inn is at the point overlooking a beautiful natural beach that is very isolated. It is a nice place to relax and enjoy quality family time away from it all. It was very rainy when we visited for 4 nights so I am glad I had brought a good book to read. Our 2 children enjoyed the pool as the beach is a bit rough for swimming but they enjoyed shelling and walking around the small island at low tide and the tide pools. We enjoyed coffee and breakfast each morning poolside. We also traveled to Playa Reinna for surfing and hanging out there( aprox 25 minute drive). We also discovered a jewel at the entrance to the gate, Restaurant El Sol has great food and a spectacular view. We looked forward to chatting with Chef Michael each day discussing menu options (which everything we had was delicious) We wanted to go snorkeling to some of the islands as photos I saw were gorgeous but it was too rainy and murky at the time.
