We went for the Sunday afternoon, brisket and burgers cowboy cookout yesterday evening. Quite a history for this area. The surrounding scenery is stunning. Long tables fitted with red checkered table-clothes and a denim table runner running down the middle of each with candles burning added to a very lovely ambience. Also flickering lights overhead. Music was provided by a very talented local musician. I don’t drink, but I gathered bottled beer, wine and white claw seltzer‘s being served at the bar. Serve yourself, ice, tea, lemonade, and water provided . The buffet was so fresh and delicious- consisted of a green salad, potato salad, coleslaw, mac & cheese, broccoli, cornbread and either brisket or hamburgers. Dessert was a fruit crumble. Topped with homemade whipped cream. This is definitely a family event. Lots of kids having a great time. You can play corn hole or a kid friendly game of darts that are on the lawn while you wait for dinner. All staff are so very friendly and accommodating. It is managed by a very gracious couple that we met . We did not stay overnight at the ranch, but would like to come back sometime to stay for a few days. This is going to become an annual event for us when we are in town for the winter from the chill of Iowa.

The behavior of the female bartender with long dark hair at Saguaro Lake Ranch yesterday was so beyond unprofessional, I can't stay silent. It was 99 degrees out — brutally hot — and people were sweltering, thirsty, and just trying to enjoy the wedding. I approached the bar politely, asked for some ice, and was met with an attitude so cold, it was almost laughable. She barely looked at me and said, “We’re out.” Fine. I thought, “Okay, maybe things run low. No big deal.” But then, not even two minutes later, a guy walks up, asks for ice, and she immediately hands it over like it’s no problem at all. So, what exactly happened? Were they suddenly “out” of ice when I asked but magically had enough for him? Or was I simply not worth the effort because I wasn’t some random guy she felt like being nice to? When I confronted her about it, she tried to defend herself by saying, “We’re low on ice.” Hilarious, because it sure wasn’t an issue when he asked. If ice was really that scarce, why didn’t she just say that to me? Why lie and pretend there was no ice when she clearly had some ready to go? But let me be clear: it wasn’t about the ice. It was about her rude, lazy, and condescending service. Her behavior wasn’t just unhelpful — it was downright disrespectful. She didn’t just deny me ice; she denied me the most basic level of courtesy. The fact that she thought I’d just sit back and take it without a word is embarrassing for her. She was completely disengaged, acted like she was doing everyone a huge favor by showing up, and couldn’t be bothered to do her job properly. Her attitude was beyond frustrating. She didn’t give a damn about the event or the people at it — she was there to make her day easier, not make the guests feel welcome or comfortable. This wasn’t a slip-up or a minor mistake — this was an outright insult. Now, to be fair, the wedding yesterday was absolutely stunning, and the venue is beautiful. But when you have staff members acting this poorly, it ruins the beautiful moment. Saguaro Lake Ranch absolutely needs to take a long, hard look at who they hire to represent their venue because this woman should never be trusted with handling a high-profile event like a wedding. Her behavior was downright shameful, and if this is the level of service you can expect from their staff, it’s a clear sign that they don’t care about their guests or the reputation of the events they host. If you’re considering this venue, be prepared for the very real possibility that your special day could be ruined by staff who are lazy, rude, and completely unprofessional. If they’re willing to let someone like this treat guests with such blatant disrespect, I can’t imagine what other disasters could unfold.

This was our second visit to Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch and we had another terrific stay. The perfect place for a multi-generation family/friend gathering. Hikes, horseback riding, birding, rafting, kayaking, swimming, lawn games and JUST RELAXING! Food was delicious and different every night. Special weekend gourmet cookout and campfire! A magical setting.

I can’t say enough about the incredible experience we had at Saguaro Lake Ranch for my husband’s 40th birthday celebration! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how accommodating and welcoming the entire team was. Every detail was taken care of, and they truly went above and beyond to ensure that everyone—adults and kids alike—had the best time possible. The setting is absolutely stunning. Surrounded by natural beauty and tranquil lake views, it provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration. The ranch is incredibly kid-friendly the ranch was. Our little ones had a blast with so many activities to keep them engaged. I can honestly say we had the best time at Saguaro Lake Ranch, and it turned out to be the perfect place to mark such a special occasion. The entire team was beyond attentive, and the atmosphere was nothing short of magical. If you’re looking for an incredible venue for any event, I highly recommend Saguaro Lake Ranch—our experience was nothing short of perfect! Thank you for making my husband's 40th birthday celebration one we’ll never forget!

Unbelievable, special place. Kayaking, horses, hiking…and the view is just breathtaking. Loved the simpler pleasure of the pool after a long hot day too. Really blown away by the food and especially the peanut salsa and NM chili salsa. We don’t get those back East. Also loved the mix of privacy in the cabins with the communal vibe at the lodge. Just perfect place.

Truly a great company with wonderful staff. After an issue on our end, the company found a workaround and made our experience one of a kind. The ride was very good and the views incredible. We rode with Marcel who was very attentive, informative and welcoming. It made an amazing memory and we can’t wait to do it again!!

We absolutely loved our 2-night stay at the Saguaro Guest Ranch, we'll definitely be back in the future! The staff was welcoming and warm, the cabins were cute and rustic, the location was beautiful, and the food was AMAZING. The meals were thoughtfully prepared and artfully presented, with ample portion sizes, comparable to a higher-end restaurant. We can't wait to come back next year!
