From the second you drive on the Bridge towards Marken you are thriving on the old dutch looks and vibes the island gives. The host (Bertus) of the Pepersteeg continues this experience above and beyond when he invites you in the B&B. When you enter, you step a few decades back is time the dutch culture and everything is presented nice and clean. Lovely experience of Marken with good warm welcome when we arrived. This is the old school dutch hospitality, any request we had was meeted above and beyond.

I enjoyed a lovely one night stay at De Pepersteeg Marken. Cozy room, lovely breakfast, amazing hospitality and the next day a lovely four hours hike around the island. I'll be happy to come again and combine with travelling to Amsterdam by bus.

Very good property to stay, owners are very friendly, rooms are checked daily (which I did not expect at a B&B). The breakfast at the restaurant is awesome, all fresh ingredients. Very flexible regarding reservations. I recommend this location if you are looking for a place to stay. Very cozy, comfortable and very clean.

This little B&B on the island of Marken is easy to reach by bus from Amsterdam or boat from Volendam. The location is quiet, just a couple of minutes walk from the harbour. I was made very welcome and all my questions were answered. The room was light, clean and airy and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast in the morning is at their local cafe/restaurant, with a good choice of tasty items, and in fine weather you can sit outside on the terrace. I'd happily stay again.

Clean, cozy, wonderful and practical stay. Rooms attractive and clean. Beds wonderful. The shared kitchen, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator with freezer compartment is very handy. Parking, harbour, restaurants and ferry to Volendam, everything nearby and within walking distance, even for people with a walker. Staying on the first floor is recommended for people who only want to climb one flight of stairs and have their own bathroom and toilet. Stair with some style. B&B Worth repeating and definitely recommended to others!!

Very nice, clean, delicious breakfast (good rolls, good croissants, very good salmon), nice bathroom on suite. We were very satisfied! You can relax here and enjoy the fresh air. A path on the dyke leads around the island and you can take a ferry to another village. From there you can go exploring by rental bike. Half an hour to Amsterdam where you can visit a lot for free and some with a discount using the I Amsterdam Card.

What an excellent welcome from all points of view from Mr BERTHUS, attentive and attentive to his visitors, very good quality of the services provided in this multi-storey house (you still need good legs to go up to the second floor to take possession of his room) with quality bedding, shared amenities. Very nice place to stay! Cute decor, good bed, shared kitchen! Everything furnished with authentic items! Super cozy! The shared shower is nice clean and hot but keeps turning off after a minute then you have to push the button again! Reminded me a bit of a camping shower.
