This trip was with my 15 year old son. The staff are wonderful, so helpful with anything at all we needed. The room was basic, full of character and the beds were comfortable and cosy. The food is nice and reasonably priced. Gorgeous traditional Moroccan style. Large roof terrace and gorgeous pool area. Crazy flies though... apparently, a small problem in April. The hotel is very quiet. No music, no loud bar. Just the wonderful sound of donkeys, frogs & Cockerals. Breakfast... nice.. but if you don't eat carbs or cake, you'll struggle. They did have boiled eggs though. I'm not a bread or cake gal. And no fruit on offer. However, I know that had I have asked, they'd be only to glad to provide. A great hotel. The real Marrakesh.. not for everyone, bit definitely my idea of a slice of heaven.

This hotel was so dark… the food was probably the worst I’ve ever tasted, I mean how can you serve a spaghetti bolognese with oily spaghetti? Absolutely nothing to do there except try and keep the flies off you. Staff were friendly, room was dark and had no covers on duvets (nothing at all like the pictures advertised). Only managed to get WiFi by the router then a power cut wiped that out. The hotel is situated in a barren, poor area littered with general rubbish including old disposable nappies and poor scrawny, scared dogs. We made use of the free shuttle to Marrakesh for the 3 days we were there just to get away from this grim, run down hotel. Avoid like the plague

Not for me..WiFi only available in Reception Area , that was only when it did work, which wasnt every day.. There were power cuts twice..really remote, place was very far from the city which was 25 mins by car and even the person who picked me up from the Airport had to stop n ask 3 times where it was. Rooms were dark with little lighting, thwre was rubbish all along the road outside. Hotel was smelly and loads of flies. The same Set Menue every day and evening. No TV. So nothing to do. Twice I only had warm water to shower in. No hook for the shower so had to wash one handed. I even had to ask for a Bath Towel as there wasnt any on one day. Massage stated 25mins but was only 12 mins as they left room and came back 10mins later. Listed as 4 Star ....I seriously wouldn't give it 1 star, the worst place I've ever stayed in by a country mile..and I've travelled the world VILE !!!

We loved this place. A quiet area with an old fashioned quirky feel about it. Excellent food and all of the staff were great especially the girls in the restaurant and Youssef at Reception. Yousseff went out of his way to help us by arranging early and late meals and helping us with bookings and the printing of boarding passes. The free shuttle from the hotel to town and back was great too.

Do your research - A Disappointing Family Stay! Extremely Poor Value for Money. This hotel was a huge disappointment and a waste of money. We booked two rooms for our family of six expecting a decent 4-star experience, but what we got was far from it. Honestly, I regret booking this place more than anything. Firstly, the location is TERRIBLE. It's in the middle of nowhere, making it inconvenient for everything. Expect to spend a lot of time, unpleasant travelling and money on transportation just to get to any attractions or restaurants. Closely look on the map where it actually is and what is in the surroundings. Don’t be fooled (like me) by the pictures. And speaking of money, BEWARE of hidden inflated city taxes! Expect no receipts. Make sure you clarify the exact amount before you arrive. They seemed to be charging whatever they felt like, and it felt very underhanded. The "4-star" rating is completely misleading. The rooms were underwhelming, and the overall experience was significantly below what you'd expect from a 4 * of that supposed caliber. No one in my family enjoyed our stay; it was just a disappointment. Finally, the breakfast was pathetic. Limited options and poor quality. Lots of flys everywhere. It just added insult to injury after an already disappointing stay. Overall, this hotel is an extremely poor value for money. Save yourself the headache and book somewhere else. This was a terrible mistake on my part, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. You've been warned!

2-3-Star Experience: A Far Cry from Four Stars and a Major Disappointment This hotel was a complete letdown from start to finish. Having booked two rooms for a family of six, I can confidently say that no one in my family enjoyed our stay. This establishment is falsely advertised; it's nowhere near the standard of a 4-star hotel. First and foremost, be warned about the city tax. The hotel seems to arbitrarily charge whatever they feel likel, so do your research beforehand and come prepared to challenge the amount. The location is a major drawback. If you're looking for convenience or access to attractions, this is not the place. The hotel is situated in the middle of nowhere, requiring significant travel time to reach anything of interest. The breakfast was another disappointing aspect of our stay - offering limited choices and questionable quality of the items. Overall, the experience was a terrible value for money. From the subpar accommodations to the inconvenient location and questionable breakfast, this hotel was a significant mistake on my part. I strongly advise potential guests to look elsewhere for a more enjoyable and worthwhile experience..

First time in Morocco and certainly won't be our last. From the outside of the hotel, you don't know what to expect, but the minute you enter, you realise you made the right decision staying here. Tradition inside, the rooms are great, just what you need as a base. The food was great, and drinks were well priced. Lovely and quiet away from the busy old town. They do a shuttle into town and back twice a day, but if these times don't suit will organise a taxi at a great price, and they will come back and collect you when you call them. What made this stay incredible was the staff, so friendly and can't do enough to make your stay memorable. Arriving at the hotel at 10.30pm they made sure that we got a 3 course meal after a long day travel. They also offer spa facilities which we did on our last day having a traditional hammam exfoliation and massage. They staff even allowed us to keep the room for an extra few hours so we could get showered and freshen up before leaving. 5⭐️ really don't want to leave.

It's a bit of a surprise when you drive up to this hotel as you will encounter lots of litter, children begging, a collection of unfinished/breeze block structures on the doorstep (which you can clearly see from the hotel). However, we had a friendly and positive greeting from all of those who worked at the hotel. The traditional hotel design is also impressive. Negatives - The experience didn't represent the current 4 star rating. For example, the main menu food was a basic selection of western-style cafe foods - reheated lasagne with no salad, a tiny portion of basic chips with chicken skewers and chocolate ice-cream straight from the 80s - synthetic and cheap tasting. The menus were also surprisingly dirty, headings written in biro etc. - definitely need replacing, or at least a wipe! I understand that you can book tagine a day in advance, but this isn't obvious until you see someone else eating it. Local area doesn't really feel safe for visitors to explore and lacks any amenities. Parts of the building need some love and attention/a refresh. Although there was a spa menu in the bedroom, there was no information booklet or refreshments menu/local info/emergency numbers, local tours info etc. This would have been useful (and usual in a 4 star hotel). Some really noisy plumbing sounds throughout the night and odd smells coming from the sink. Positives - Useful shuttle to and from town, helpful and friendly staff, gorgeous views from the roof (towards the mountains), traditional feel. The roof area is stunning first thing in the morning and you can spot masses of hot air balloons in the distance if you're early enough. I enjoyed the peace, the birdsong and watching the stray dogs and farmers from the property. Although we weren't impressed with the eve/main menu, we enjoyed our breakfasts - a selection of breads, yoghurts, coffee etc. with visiting little birds in the dining area. Some pleasant, authentic communal areas and the veranda is lovely. With any luck, the unfinished buildings surrounding the property will be completed at some point! The view to the left of our balcony was great (the view to the right was not). This hotel could be amazing, with a few tweaks, attention to detail and some basic improvements to the immediate surroundings. However, we did enjoy our stay.
