We, my daughter and I, only slept at the riad. We didn’t experience it during daytime because we had other things to do. But in the mornings and evenings the staff were polite and friendly. And it’s located in walking distance from the souk in the medina.

The Riad itself was lovely , so morrocan and authentic. Check in was fine , the hosts were friendly on arrival and made us a cup of morrocan tea, The room was fine , comfy beds and clean linen and towels, the bathroom however was dark and dingy with mould on the walls around the bath, and the smell was horrible like a sewage smell, we had to keep the door closed to stop the whole room from smelling, breakfast consisted of boiled eggs(hard) bread and preserves, a morrocan flatbread and some cake a flask of coffee and a glass of orange juice. We asked for more coffee and orange on our first morning and was told that we would have to pay for anything extra , also they asked us every day what time we would be down for breakfast so they could put the breakfast out , sometimes we were a few minutes late and the eggs and coffee were just warm , I found the hosts very unwelcoming , on our last morning we left the Riad at 7-30am and they wouldn’t even give us a drink as breakfast started at 8am , personally I, m sure that there are better Riads with a lot more friendly approach to guests . I definitely wouldn’t stay here again and having travelled to many places around the world this is the first review I have ever put on here as I don’t want anyone to waste their money staying her

We spent 5 nights here in the delightful riad located inside the Medina, room was comfortable and the ladies were always on hand for all our questions and advice both looked after us amazingly even making sure we were picked up by the correct people for excursions. Highly recommended.stay thanks again

We loved our stay at Dar Foundouk. All the staff were wonderfully welcoming and friendly. The Riad was very original fitted out in authentic Moroccan furniture and decor. Breakfast is was a homemade feast - absolutely delicious. Everywhere was clean and tidy. Would happily return again. Thank you so much 😊

Excellent Riad with a really cool history and phenomenal staff. We booked a suite, which was nice and spacious and the decor was wonderful. This place was a lovely oasis in the medina and the breakfast was unbelievably good. We'd definitely stay again.

We stayed at this riad for 5 days and it was great (mum, dad and two young kids). The location is fantastic, the breakfast is superb and Rashid, the host, is truly a lovely guy. He went above and beyond to make sure we were having the best experience we could possibly have of Marrakesh and the Moroccan culture. The riad is clean, in an unbeatable location, our room was spacious and had air con. TV didn't work but we didn't care. The patio is fantastic and very relaxing. There's the most subtle music in the background that enhances the natural trickling of the water. Thank you again Rashid for offering us so much and for welcoming us with a smile on your face every time. Thanks again. 👣

Les chambres sont spacieuses, la literie confortable et les salles de bain, certes pas neuves, mais avec une grande douche. Elles sont décorées dans un style marocain. Les petits déjeuners sont suffisants avec des galettes et/ou viennoiseries et/ou crêpes et pains, beurre, confitures, miel,… On a essayé le hammam et les massages avec le « rituel marocain » qui a été une très belle découverte. En revanche, la piscine est juste un bassin mais les photos ne trompent pas. Si vous avez besoin de quelque chose, n’hésitez pas, le personnel est à votre écoute. Seul bémol, le prix du transfert aéroport /riad plus cher que ce qui est annoncé sur leur site internet… J’y retournerai sans problème !

Un séjour de 3 nuits dans ce Riad qui est loin d un 4 ni 3 ni 2 étoiles , si le personnel était agréable la chambre et la salle de bain est vétuste et pas très propre au niveau du sol, juste un filet d’eau pour se doucher. Petit déjeuner très succinct et surtout il faut dire la veille à quelle heure on déjeune! la télé ne fonctionnait pas et la réponse était chaque jour « peu être demain » in chala » bref franchement déçu de ce Riad qui est par contre bien situé .
