This is the find of the year for us!!!!! It's a absolutely gorgeous property, so many little instagram worthy nooks and crannies! There are several pools on the property and we had a "private" pool most of the time we were there! Melanie helped us through the booking process and literally took care of everything for us!!!! She goes above and beyond!!!!!!! We were picked up at the airport and transported to the resort. There are some reviews commenting on the state of the road leading there, but it's not as bad as some claim to be. It's bumpy, but doable!!!!! our 16 month old granddaughter slept through the transfer! And they are working on the road, this shouldn't be a deterrent for any one! Once you enter through the gates of the resort, your in a new world; cozy, calm, zen, everything a vacation should be. Melanie booked us all the tours we wanted to tackle during our stay, and Delwin was a fabulous tour guide for several of our outings! As the resort is in the jungle, there are no restaurants in the area. But we can assure you that the food they provide is world class; everything is home made (pasta, bread etc) lots of ingredients are grown on the property, so freshness is important. We stayed for 4 nights and every single meal was absolutely delicious!!!!! The staff is incredible, friendly, efficient and always smiling. Melanie's super power is her making you feel just so taken care off, pampered and conveying a very calming aura that all makes this vacation so special. She knew all of us by name, always had time for a chat and a kind word. We also had the chance to use the spa facility and it was fabulous!!! I could see returning with some girlfriends for a very relaxing spa trip!!!!! thank you Melanie and your staff for everything you did for us, it was a unforgettable experience!

Resorts are much more than the amenities they provide. For us it’s about the people. Abezza not only has wonderful services and facilities, it also has a staff that is second to none. Our drivers and tour guides Amilcar and Delvin were fantastic, courteous and professional but also very personable and knowledgeable. Amilcar gave us a wonderful trek through the on-site jungle adjacent to the resort. The tour included the identification of the local flora and fauna of Belize and its medicinal value. Our servers Gloria and Sandy took unbelievable care of us during our stay. Both are delightful and bring warmth and laughter to the great service they provide. Behind the scenes, Chef Orlando made amazing meals, highlighting Belizean cuisine and ingredients. The food was fantastic! Mary provided unbelievable spa treatments with a relaxing personal approach. Owner/manager Nicky works hard to keep the resort in great shape. Super friendly and funny, he personally drove us to the airport at the completion of our stay. Even son Sterling pitched in to provide great service, helping us overcome technological issues so we could watch the Super Bowl! Lastly, our hostess Melanie. Talk about someone making you feel welcome and appreciated! A truly lovely person who made our stay magical. Her upbeat and humorous personality was infectious. She took care of every minute detail of our visit, helping us set up tours and relaxing spa services…always with a smile. We hope to return to Abezza someday to savor all it has to offer but additionally, to visit our new friends!

Abeeza is a special place with a special staff. I would definately get a junior suite. Food is so fresh. Staff values your business. Always looking for ways to help you enjoy the resort and the surrounding area. Did a Alton Ha visit as well. Melanie is a gem.

Definitely not worth $250/night. Our room was like a cave, no windows. The entire resort (and I use that term loosely) was a slip and fall accident waiting to happen. I was travelling with my 84 year old aunt so she could barely walk around the resort without taking itty bitty steps for fear of falling. The walkways and flooring consisted of cobblestone and polished ceramic tile. The only place to eat is their restaurant. And since there wasn't anyone staying there but the 2 of us the choices were limited and pricey. I booked through Southwest Airlines, and they could not have cared less about the experience that I paid $1200 for. I won't be using their services again either.

We stayed at the Abeeza Resort 1 night before heading home. What a perfect way to relax and spend our last day in Belize . Everything was perfect, our driver picked us up at the airport. He was very friendly & knowledgeable of the area. He gave us plenty of information of the area getting to the resort. We were expecting a rougher ride per past reviews. The road was gravel towards the end but not bad at all. We arrived and greeted by Melanie and her staff. We had a beautiful welcome drink & had a tour of the property. Everything is unique & top notch. The resort, pools, spa & food were above my expectations. I highly recommend this resort- it is a treat to be had.

The property was beautiful, and the staff are great! The food was also delicious and the mud massage was wonderful! I also enjoyed the yoga room! I stayed 4 nights and would definitely come back. The overall service was very personable. They did a great job keeping the mosquitoes at bay on the property as well.

lovely pools. pretty nature.. and then there are mosquitos. Like everywhere. In your food, room, etc. And the food is not for someone on a low salt diet.. Room was nice except there were palmetto bugs falling from the ceiling and crawling around on the floor. And the drive from the airport is right out of hell.. Huge holes in the road. Other than that it could be fun

We stayed here years ago, under its former name Maruba. This visit, we drove up for a day of pampering in the spa, pools, and restaurant—well worth the drive from Belize City! The resort is absolutely unique and the staff make you feel like you are the only guests. We did the day package, which included two massage treatments, welcome drink, lunch and use of the pools. We added mani-pedis before a delicious lunch with plenty of local flair. The mud massages are a must, and leave your skin feeling super soft and fresh. We followed that with aromatherapy massages for even more relaxation and restoration. Our therapists were fantastic, skilled and friendly, and we loved being able to do our massages together in the same room. We finished up our day with a soak in the warm plunge pool and delicious house made fresh drinks. Know before you go: this is about an hour and a quarter from Belize City and the last twenty minutes will be on partially paved roads. The resort is gated so they will need reservations and to know your arrival time so they can meet you at the gate. If you have trouble reaching them by phone, use WhatsApp to text! We will be back, and we will plan to stay next time.
