A pleasant surprise to find the accommodation was actually as nice as the photos (which is sadly rare in a lot of holiday homes). Very clean, nice, and comfortable, And roomier than expected. Pip and Tanya, at the pub restaurant next door, were welcoming and helpful when we arrived and friendly throughout our stay. Plus the pizzas were huge and tasty. There was a great little band playing to about 6pm on the Sunday evening we arrived, and it was quiet and peaceful for the rest of our stay. It's a 1minute walk from the front door to water, and the lake was great for paddleboarding. My only complaint is that it was advertised as having Wi-Fi, but half the time it wouldn't connect, and when it did it constantly disconnected within minutes. Which was frustrating and did ruin plans as we had arranged a family video call and I missed out on income as I was unable to work the few hours a day I had planned to do. I did message the owner about it being an issue but it didn't improve. So, if you need Wi-Fi, this isn't the place. But if you don't, this is a great little getaway!

Nice cabin with pretty lake access We enjoyed our stay here. The home provided the perfect space for our family to relax and enjoy the local trails. The listing stated laundry access was nearby, which I took to mean somewhere on site. We ended up having to drive 40 minutes each way because the one 20-25 minutes away closed earlier. Make sure to plan for that.

Great jumping off point to the Oly Pen Cabin 3 was quite spacious, with everything needed for a relaxing stay. We booked for our wedding anniversary with plans to explore the Olympic Peninsula and have some down time. Lake Nahwatzel was a great pick, since it allowed us to explore both the Pacific side of the park/forest, as well as the eastern side. The restaurant was also a nice surprise. They had a great variety of options and the service was very friendly. Unlike a lot of small towns, the staff didn't make you feel like an outsider. On the contrary, Tanya, Warren, and the rest of the team were incredibly accommodating. One thing to note: Lake access is extremely limited. There's a very narrow path down to the dock (between two private properties) and a public access area that's no bigger than a boat launch and another small dock. If you plan on fishing, you'll probably want to bring/rent a boat. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back.

Nice Home by the Water We enjoyed our time here. Very quiet. The public dock was steps away. The restaurant close by was closed, so we had to go into town for food as we thought we’d just eat there. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Shelton has some cute places to visit. The Wilde Irish Pub had excellent fish and chips and a full bar. But a lot of shops and restaurants are also closed Monday and Tuesdays. The bathtub in the primary bedroom didn’t have a water spout for a bath, which was odd. But the shower worked fine. Everything was very clean and comfortable!

Labor Day Weekend We had a great time. Just a few things. Not enough towels for 6 people, only 4 towels. There were no extra garbage bags and we didnt know where to throw it away. The towel seat in the master was cracked and broken, hurt to use it. Outside had harbage and broken glass. Only 4 rolls of toliet paper, need more for guessed of 6. Please replace all light bulbs, alot missing. Under kitchen sink, leaked water. It would be nice for the property to be cleaned up with no weeds. The beds were very nice amd soft. The kitchen was big and was able to have family over for big dinners. Loved the sunsets, you can never put a price on that. We will be coming back next year. Thank you so much.
