I found out about this place on Booking but in the end I booked via phone with Mr. Gianni was immediately a very kind person and proclaimer of his roots, he gave me lots of advice and solutions for our stay. We arrived in the morning giving us the opportunity to check in early and arriving to welcome us was Angela, a girl with a very nice and friendly manner who gave us advice on the day and accompanied us to the room. Small but nice spaces, very comfortable and quiet. Good breakfast, we will definitely return. Thank you very much for everything.

Characteristic structure located a few steps from Piazza San Pietro Caveoso and overlooking the Murgia Materana. The owner Gianni is a very kind person, diligent and passionate in telling the story of Matera, the origin of the b&b and extremely generous with advice on what to visit in the city and its surroundings. The entire structure is created inside the stones, well maintained and pleasantly furnished. Excellent and plentiful breakfast, the presence of Matera bread and focaccia is priceless. 5 stars more than deserved.

Il Carrubo is located in an excellent position, a few steps from the shuttle stop coming from the large car park located in via Saragat, costing €0.50 per hour, stop for Carrubo no. 7. A hotel inside a large rock, large and spacious rooms with everything you need for your rest, very very clean and organized, pleasant breakfast and the restaurant and spa area are divine, the only thing that does not work very well is the wifi and I I imagine it's because of the rocks. Sono stato con moglie ed una coppia di amici in questo B&B scelto sulla base dei feedbacks positivi visti su TA e Booking. La struttura si trova in ottima posizione, al confine tra Sasso Barisano e Sasso Caveoso, ricavata in un'antica struttura scavata naturalmente nel sasso. Le camere (4 in tutto) presentano tuttora elementi dell'antica struttura di sasso, addirittura con fossili visibili in alcune volte. Camere pulite, calde e dotate di ogni comfort. La nostra camera presentava in particolare una splendida doccia ricavata in un locale anticamente adibito a camino. La colazione è discreta, con qualche prodotto tipico del territorio, anche se non particolarmente ampia nell'offerta. Una menzione particolare va fatta al gestore del B&B Giovanni, sempre presente e disponibile, in grado di fornire qualsiasi tipo di informazione su Matera e le cose da vedere. Se tornerò a Matera, certamente alloggero' al Carrubo.

Due giorni nella città di sassi, ospiti del "Carrubo Residenza Walk&Stay", io e mia moglie abbiamo soggiornato in questa piacevole struttura ubicata nel cuore dei sassi. Pace, tranquillità, vista incantevole sulla "Gravina di Matera". Al nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti da Giovanni, il proprietario, che in pochi minuti ci ha raccontato la storia della sua città oggi "Patrimonio dell'Umanità". La residenza è molto accogliente accogliente, arredata con gusto, buonissima la colazione e gaditissima la disponibilità del proprietario. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. CONSIGLIATISSIMO!!!!

Il carrubo si raggiunge facilmente parcheggiando la macchina e prendendo un pullman che ti lascia praticamente davanti all’entrata ! Siamo stati accolti dal sig Gianni che ci ha deliziato con le sue informazioni trasmettendoci tutta la sua passione per il territorio e la storia di Matera !
