This place Is fabulous. We had a room on the ground floor which was absolutely lovely, the bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in. The bathroom was great with just a shower which met my needs as I can't get in a bath. It's spotlessly clean. The breakfast was beautiful. Paula and shaun are lovely, made us feel extremely welcome and nothing is to much trouble. We can not wait to book again. See you soon. Mick and liz x

What a gem we found. Right in the heart of Matlock Bath, the location was perfect, nothing was too far. Paula and Shaun (and Ralph and Ernie!) we’re the perfect hosts, so warm and welcoming. The room was beautiful, with the most comfy bed, I didn’t want to get up in the morning. Lovely modern bathroom. The place was spotless throughout. Home cooked breakfast was also top notch. We’ve visited Matlock bath many times but never stayed over, I’m so glad we found this place, I would definitely return and 100% recommend this place. Cara & Glynn.

Lovely guesthouse in the middle of the parade. Shaun and Paula are great hosts, very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. Our room (Castleton) was excellent, lovely bathroom and a really comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent, served in a lovely relaxed atmosphere with plenty of choice, both hot and cold and cooked to perfection. Thankou. Steve and Michelle.

Ashdale Guest House is a superb place to stay in the heart of Matlock Bath. The hosts were very welcoming and shared valuable information about tourist information. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Lovely mini break away, guest house beautiful and clean, excellent breakfast that set you up for the day, hosts very helpful nothing too much trouble, I have a gluten intolerance which was accommodated, we will definitely stay again. Thank you

Lovely spacious room, fantastic hosts, delicious breakfast and brilliant location. All communal areas and bedroom were very clean. Located right on the high street, easily accessible to shops, restaurants and bus stops. Would love to stay again.

A gem of a find. Met by Paula and Sean who were very welcoming and helpful with local places of interest. Lovely room, with river views, coffee and lovely biscuits provided. Very clean and stylish. Cooked breakfast was excellent quality and really set us up for the day. Thoroughly recommend this hotel and hope to return soon. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Yearly trip to this excellent place. Have been returning for years with past and present owners. Paula and Sean have put their high quality standards into every aspect of this building and the breakfast is the best you’ll ever eat using locally sourced products. See you next year. C,Y and J
