Logis Auberge des Moissons

Auberge Des Moissons is our go to stop on the way back to the coast. The rooms are good with plenty of space, a seperate shower room and loo. Plenty of parking and easy to ge to from the autoroute. The restaurant serves good food, well presented and also has a good breakfast.

Room had a smell of old socks . The room safe didn’t work No soap or shower gel in the bathroom. When my husband asked for this at reception the young woman said Logis no longer provide shower gel and handed 2 random small soaps.(see photo) We headed for dinner which we’d booked months before. As returners we looked forward to a good dinner in a restaurant with lovely ambience. First of all our Cavapoo was refused entrance. When we booked it said it was a dog friendly hotel and nobody said the dog was only allowed in the room. Then we were led , not to the restaurant but the soul-less breakfast area. I asked to move to the restaurant area and eventually the receptionist found a table for us. Having booked months ahead we did expect a nice table. It appeared that most residents were being shuffled to the breakfast room. We had wonderful entrecôte of veal and didnt order anything else as we couldn’t leave the dog barking. Had he come to the restaurant he would have slept under the table and nobody would have known he was there.

Great hotel and great staff and food was fab Anna on reception was very helpful Unfortunately I have in error places an incorrect review on the logis website as the next hotel we had booked had cancelled So apologies !! Rooms great very clean The restaurant food was outstanding

The Auberge des Moissons is very well placed for travellers heading for the south of France, situated as it is just off the A26. Matougues is a quiet village on the old Route Nationale. The hotel is used by business travellers and holidaymakers alike. There is a conference room so it’s possible that large groups may use it. I phoned for a room and was offered a price 10 euros or so less than on commercial websites: that’s the way to go! Our room was spacious and comfortable, as was the bed. We had a peaceful night’s sleep following a tasty dinner ( reviewed under ‘Restaurants’). The rooms look on to a courtyard with shrubs etc and tables for fine weather. Breakfast was generous and varied though I am still on an ageless quest for really good coffee and the Auberge coffee was wide of the mark. But that’s my personal view. This is a very pleasant hotel with good off-road parking, amiable staff and reasonable prices. No need to look anywhere else if you are in the area.

Nice hotel. Good setting for a stop over - bit different from the usual chains. Excellent family room with separate upstairs bedroom. Amazing bakery next door serving sourdough bread from flour milled on site and locally grown wheat. Didn’t try the food in the restaurant. Also has a Tesla super charger on site.

Without a doubt, this is the best hotel we’ve stayed in while travelling from Provence to the eurtunnel and back during the last 12 months. The accommodation is spacious, very clean with comfortable beds and lashings if hot water. The evening meal is exceptional with fresh ingredients and imaginative chefs. The team of staff are bright and enthusiastic. Highly recommended don’t you think!
