The staff at Waldhotel were so lovely and helpful. The food was fantastic. Stefan takes great pride in looking after his guests. It was a wonderful stay. The hotel is located in a great spot just outside of "downtown". Stefan organised some great entertainment.

I loved this hotel, friendly staff and great meals. Its a great location to make as a base for daily walks in the Alps. You have access to two train stations, both within a 15-20 minute walk, at Interlaken West and Wilderswil. The historic Schynige Platte train leaves from Wilderswil and is worth the ride. We stayed @Waldhotel as part of a walking group and I would definitely return to stay there if the opportunity arose. The hotel staff were fantastic.

The hotel was great for walkers, the fact that we were so supported by the staff with full meals allowed us to really enjoy the huge range of walks in the Interlaken area. Would be great to go back again, the hotel was accessible from either Interlaken West or Goldswil stations. John

I stayed here with 25 friends from a walking group. The Hotel was very well located for accessing the many attractions of the area. Stefan and staff provided a great service with excellent food and drinks. We were treated to a musical concert on our last evening, and everyone in our group had a wonderful time. Our group was very well looked after, and I would be happy to return here in the future.

I would not recommend this hotel due to its poor location. Reaching hotel from city centre was at least 20 mins by walk and last 800m was complete uphill and desolated. Room size was very small. Breakfast was average. Some good things to callout is their breakfast area which had pretty views and a common kitchen which can be used by guests.

This hotel is PERFECT for the backpacker, budget traveller, low maintenance guest. We all know that Switzerland is very expensive, so if you want a place just to put down your weary body after a long day up the Jungfraujoch and walking through Interlaken, this is the place. The breakfast makes up for any inconveniences experienced - for example - noisy inconsiderate neighbours, a very small shower and no kettle/coffee in the room. The receptionist is OUTSTANDING - her knowledge and advice for catching the train up to the Jungfraujoch etc will save you lots of money - the early bird catches the worm. They also make a picnic breakfast for the early riser who wants to be first at Interlaken Ost departures.

Its a typical budget hotel located a bit far away from the Train station and Bus Stop. Nearest bus stop is about 750mtrs from the hotel. Its on the hill and if you want to reach the hotel after 7pm, you dont have a choice but to walk up. In this budget hotel bathrooms are outside the room. They dont take any request for breakfast (since we only ate breakfast there), We asked for boiled potato for breakfast but they flatly refused.
