Hotel Rivage Taormina

We recently spent 4 glorious days at the Hotel Rivage in Taormina, in Sicily. A four star hotel whose service is an absolute Five Star. From the moment we arrived until the day of departure we were dealt with in a most professional and welcoming way. Every morning we woke up in a very comfortable room to the view of a warm and stunning sunrise overlooking the clear and beautiful sea, followed by a most complete and delicious breakfast served by delightful hostesses and one of note, Domenica who was always there to accommodate every request. How amazing it is to find that this Hotel had a Lido beach with umbrellas and a kiosk bar available to guests right in front of the hotel. A beautiful beach with a gorgeous view of Taormina and so relaxing. We have been in this area before and we can state without a doubt, Hotel Rivage is a destination that meets every personal need. I cannot but extend my deepest gratitude to two young and cool and super helpful fellows at the front desk, Andrea and Gabriele. What a pleasure to have had the pleasure of being attended to by them; so professional and a credit to their Hotel. Thank you, gentlemen.

Had a great 5 day experience at this boutique hotel and restaurant. The rooms have a great view, are clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Tina at the front desk is welcoming, speaks very good English and arranged transportation on several occasions. Breakfast is so good with many options. Steps away is the restaurant which is great for cocktails and dinner. Filippo is a great host at the restaurant. He’s so friendly and accommodating. He makes you feel welcome and makes you want to stay for the evening (which we did)! The views are magnificent. A great stay, highly recommend!

We chose this hotel based on price and proximity to Taormina, but we were really pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The decor was fresh and modern and the hotel seemed better than a 3 star. The place was spotless - the cleaners were constantly at work. We had a deluxe room (209), which was spacious and had a large oceanfront balcony with two sun loungers and a table with two chairs. Bathrobes and slippers were provided and there was a rain shower. The water pressure was great. The lift is slow, but we only used it for our cases. There was a good selection at breakfast for the size of the hotel. It was quite quiet when we were there, as it was towards the end of the season. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and were able to answer any questions we had. The hotel has its own beach club, which served great food and drinks and was staffed by the same people we saw at breakfast. Sun loungers and parasols were available free of charge for hotel guests, though you cannot reserve the front couple of rows. The small pool area was a peaceful oasis and the cabana beds are a lovely touch. Letojanni itself was a great base. We didn't have a car and it was easy to get the bus to/from Taormina. The sea is great for swimming, though drops off sharply so may not be suitable for children. The beach is stony - don't expect golden sand. There are lots of restaurants to choose from here, if you don't wish to eat in Taormina in the evening, and these are far more reasonably priced. We enjoyed meals at Arco Rosso (ridiculously cheap) and Ristorante Da Nino. Would 100% recommend this hotel. The only suggestion I would make is to put a chest of drawers in the room for more storage.

We had a two night stay here whilst on our road trip round Sicily. Our room was nice with a pretty sea view. The bathroom had an odour and shower water leaked the first morning which was semi fixed before the next day. The restaurant food was good and also a great breakfast buffet. Overall enjoyable stay.
