In October 2024, with support from Guangdong Provincial Tourism Holdings Co., Ltd, the building was renovated and transformed into a distinctive guesthouse complex that embodies the region’s identity as the hometown of Shan'ge folk songs, traditional culture, and overseas Chinese, all within an authentic Hakka experience. Drawing inspiration from traditional Hakka walled villages and the historic ships that once sailed to Southeast Asia, the design incorporates classic materials like wood frames, brick walls, rammed earth, and green tiles. It's nice to have such a standardized management hotel in a small town. The hotel's surroundings are definitely completely different from those in big cities. The rooms and facilities in the hotel are new, and the service is friendly and enthusiastic. The private courtyard of the duplex is very nice. It would be nice if there was another bathroom on the second floor.
