Port d'Hiver Bed and Breakfast

This is what I wrote to Proprietor “Thank you so much for the marvelous experience you provided as we celebrated our parents 70th wedding anniversary at Port D’Hiver. First of all, we want to say a really big thank you to Lauren, who made sure that everything was taken care of as had been prearranged. Lauren, you are an asset to the establishment. Your pleasant demeanor and can-do spirit immediately set the tone for the remarkable experience that we had. The way you treated us, and in fact, the way you treated the other people who worked with you was awe-inspiring. Kindness, care, and enthusiasm are words we choose to describe the way you approached our important celebration. We felt so well cared for and knew that anything we asked for would be responded to quickly and positively. Not that we needed to ask for anything! Everything was perfect. Our rooms were beautiful and clean and remade every day. The breakfasts were delicious and served with pride and care. The folks who ran the happy hour did so with good cheer and positivity. The entire place was clean and beautiful. Steve clearly takes pride in the landscaping that he does as well. We felt that we were in a perfect little cloister. Everyone who made the place tick did so in ways that were unobtrusive. The hot tub and pool were clean as a whistle. All the extras that we ordered were delivered when and where and we arranged are wereof the high-quality promised. The fresh flowers were gorgeous. The chocolate covered strawberries delicious. Obviously, I can’t say enough good things about our experience. You made our occasion so special and exactly as we wanted it to be. Thank you so much for making us so comfortable and happy. We had the most memorable and wonderful 70th wedding anniversary celebration for my parents. It was exactly what we had hoped for. You made this an incomparable time and facilitated our making memories together that we will cherish always. Thank you so much. PS please share this email with all the staff because we know it took all of you to make this event as special as it was. And please make sure that the owner of the establishment knows what a great staff he has and that we hope he does not change a thing! If it’s not broken, don’t fix it! We hope we have a chance to come back in the future. And thank you again, Lauren, for orchestrating it all.

My husband and I celebrated our 21st Anniversary at the Port D’Hiver. It was exactly what we were looking for. We stayed in the Walter’s Suite to experience the sunrise from our balcony. The charming room gave us an old Florida, Tommy Bahama kind of vibe. The property was peaceful and private. We enjoyed a late swim in the pool and a relaxing time in the jacuzzi. The bed and pillows were absolutely comfortable and cooling. I haven’t slept this comfortable away from home in a while that I actually took note on the mattress and bed sheets for my own purchase. The service at Port D’Hiver was excellent! They were all welcoming and available to assist us with anything we needed. They also had great dining recommendations that we truly enjoyed, but I have to say that their breakfast was perfection. They delivered a delicious breakfast to our room at our requested time and they also made sure to prepare a gluten and dairy free plate for me to enjoy. I have to say that this experience was blend of charming comfort and breakfast was flavor in every bite. We plan on visiting again!

I will always remember my 57th birthday as I spent it at the Port D'hiver, in the Charlotte suite! Our room was very spacious with a view of the ocean. Each night we sat on the balcony and watched the moon rise. The hotel grounds are very welcoming, the perfect spot to sip a glass of complimentary wine during happy hour. The breakfast was delicious, with something different served every day. We were fortunate to snag the table in the conservatory overlooking the seafront. Fresh flowers on the table and palm plants on the windowsill completed the setting. Huge chocolate chip cookies are available in the reception area, a delight for your taste buds if not your waistline!

Beautiful resort and very nice and friendly staff. We stayed in the Sunrise room and the view was perfect! The happy hour and breakfast were great. Dinner at Ocean 302 across the street was delicious m. We will definitely return and stay longer.

Another fantastic stay at the beautiful Port D’Hiver. Everything was wonderful - staff was super helpful, the breakfast meals were delicious and the happy hour in front of the fire pit was very enjoyable. Many thanks to the proprietor and super friendly staff for making our stay a great memory.

Everything about it is an amazing experience. The management and the staff could NOT be Nicer. We love them all. The fresh cookies all day anytime is fabulous. Our room is always spotless. The landscape is so beautiful you feel like your at an island resort with all the privacy you need. It's peaceful and quiet 🤫. It's the most relaxing vacation we take. We now visit every year. 5 times so far. And our most favorite is the breakfast sampler platter from the chef. We can't say enough about the food. Thank you Port di hiver for our favorite vacation every time.
