Great location if like near beach with bus stops 2 minutes walk from hotel. Nice walk (long 4km and uphill) along the beach and up past the red tower with great views of Gozo to the north and lovely coastline to south. The hotel has warm indoor pool beautiful rooftop pool (little windy at the moment but good view across bay and up to well lit church. Great bar downstairs good deals also. Friendly staff throughout the hotel. Meals good at reasonable prices (cheaper than outside restaurant). Gym has easy to use equipment for a good workout. Room was well equipped and clean, my only con was TV was a little small and selection of channels was minimal. Highly recommend. Will go back again
Doms Boutique Living

This is a lovely Boutique hotel run with a small staff. Lorena and Borislav were a delight to deal with as they multitasked. The room I was allocated was spacious and very comfortable. However, the bathroom had a bath only and the shower attachment was difficult to use without soaking everywhere. There was also no safety mat for standing on in the bath. So that was a minus mark for me. Breakfast, served on a three tier cake stand was very good with something warm, some fruit and some pastry. Dinner in the evening was delightful. The hotel has a great setting and the pool area, whilst small has a lovely view.

Stay 2 nights, everyone! Figure 6 (the room looks outside) is a sea-view room, just from the angle of the swimming pool. Hehe, when his sea view room is ready. From the airport to the hotel you can take a bus x1, 1,5 euros but every hour, far from the airport. A taxi from the airport is 37 Euros (40 minutes), and there is a dedicated counter for buying at the airport. The hotel has four restaurants, one Italian restaurant, (Figure 4-5) one Lebanese, and one (1-2) one is the place to eat breakfast. Breakfast has many varieties, and you can also buffet for 26 Euros in the evening. Many buses can go anywhere. The hotel is close to the ferry to gozo, 10 minutes walk, few minutes by bus. The hotel has indoor and outdoor swimming pools (see Figure 6). The indoors are not very good, and there are spas that are not good. There are no shopping malls around the hotel, so take a bus to mehddina, where there is a cathedral. There are no restaurants in the surroundings, and only hotels can solve it at night. There are resident singers and English songs on the second floor at night (I feel like a four-star hotel in Shanghai in the 1990s). Older couples and foreigners dance and entertain themselves. Many elderly people. There is also an activity room on the second floor, with billiards and table tennis.

My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights. Room was fine, large balcony with chairs and table and a clean bathroom. Breakfast was diverse and tasty. The pools were unfortunately very cold. Sea is not within walking distance, but they do offer a shuttle service for a fee. We would give it 3 stars, great hotel as a home base for an active Malta trip. We would like to thank Rouselle, Pratty and Francine for the super service. :)

Solana Hotel & Spa

The Solana is at the top of a steep hill, but on the plus side the bus stop is right outside. We received an excellent welcome. A problem with the room was quickly rectified. Our room was newly refurbished, immaculately clean, nicely furnished with a large and comfortable bed and loads of space and an excellent shower. We stayed half board. The choice of fare at breakfast and evening meals was excellent, although sometimes on the cool side. Free soft and alcoholic drinks were good quality. 2 for the price of 1 cocktail ( good variety) between 4pm to 8pm, a popular bonus. The staff were all super, friendly and efficient. Our special thanks go to Dawa on reception for his consistently friendly greetings, care, advice and help in booking trips etc. On the rooftop the two pools both had lovely views across the bay to Gozo and a well stocked bar and plenty of loungers and seating. Overall a fabulous, relaxing hotel and area to stay and spend time in.
