Chinese Rich style hotel, huge lobby, spacious room, high ceiling, giant bed, mirrors across half the wall, carpets on the floor, red wood hand carved furniture in the lobby which is an attraction on its own. Rooms have all necessary toiletries, including hair dryer. Complimentary fruits and balls of Puer tea. Breakfast is massive buffet, could be good enough as a dinner. Staff are extremely nice and helpful, helped us to sort sightseeing places, find a driver, book everything, wrote names in Chinese language of the places we wanted to go. Hotel location is also very convenient, close to everything. Enjoyed the stay.

This is the hotel I always stay at when I go to Menghai. This time I had a bad experience. The facilities are old and the carpet is stained. I changed two rooms after staying for three nights. The smell of cigarettes was strong and it felt unclean. I finally fell asleep at night, but my arms were itchy and I don't know if they were bitten by mites or something else. I won't come here again.
