We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Decu. It is in a perfect location - quiet but only 10 minutes from most of the main sights, squares, cool restaurants, and landmarks in Merida. Made it easy to pop back to the hotel for a few hours to cool off by the pool. The rooms are big and very nicely designed. There are 8 rooms - four in the old part of the hacienda and then 4 in a back section that appears newer and more modern. We were in room 3 which was nice with super high ceilings. Our friend was in room 1 and it had beautiful floor tiles. Every design choice is well done and perfectly fits together. Although the hotel was full, we barely saw anyone. So you have this small staff who is always there to help. In some ways, it felt more like a B&B than a hotel (which we liked). But whenever we needed anything like a coffee or a drink, the staff were quickly on it! I can't imagine a better hotel in Merida where a lot of the hotels seems kind of dated (at least from outside appearances). They also arranged a private tour guide to visit Uxmal and the experience was excellent. They also arranged for a welcome gift for our friend who was celebrating his birthday.

What a gorgeous hotel. A real little gem in a fabulous location minutes from many cool bars and restaurants. We stayed in room 7 near to the cute pool and it was great. Such a comfortable bed and nice shower room. The staff are superb. So friendly and always on hand. I can’t wait to go back!

Hidden gem in the city!! This hotel is an oasis in the city. Such a beautiful hotel. The architecture is stunning, all the rooms are stunning. But what really makes special this hotel is the staff!. The staff are super friendly, professional and welcoming. Continental breakfast is included and it is delicious. The hotel has an excellent location, a couple of blocks from downtown, the gastronomy street and Paseo Montejo.

The Decu is a beautiful oasis in Merida. The staff are so helpful and friendly and will go out of their way for you, I cannot praise them enough. The food was fabulous and the breakfasts also very nice. My only two suggestions would be please put more light or a magnifying mirror in the bathrooms as it was hard to see yourself. The rooms can also smell a little damp. Merida is a beautiful town and I wish we had given more time to exploring it.

I literally stumbled upon this gem while exploring Merida (was in Yucatan for 6 weeks) and Jaime kindly ushered me in and to my utter delight, found an oasis of beauty, calm and utter chic. Having a very early flight back, I immediately booked it and it was STUPENDOUS! I wish I had been able to stay longer but that will be for the next time. The attention to detail and design is sublime and tasteful and I wish I could live there all the time... It transports you back to a time where life was more simple and a slower pace.Lovingly restored but with a nod to modernism, it is a true jewel. The staff is quite lovely and responsive to any request. My only slight criticism is there were a lot of leaves in the pool (if a skimmer was there, I would have gladly used it). I can NOT wait to return and enjoy it for a longer period of time. Muchas Gracias

Brand-new boutique hotel. They have wonderfully restored a colonial building preserving its character while also introducing new architectural concepts, like the bar and restaurant area opening on a modernly-designed swimming pool. Check the cocktail menu. Very quiet and discreet but still very central, excellent quality of sleep.

El personal siempre fue muy atento a todo lo que necesitábamos, fuimos a celebrar nuestra honeymoon y todo fue increíble, altamente recomendado, el hotel es precioso, pasar tiempo en la psicina mientras tomabamos un cóctel fue maravilloso.

Los espacios son preciosos, la alberca es deliciosa en esta época del año, hace calor pero es soportable y nadar en la alberca ayuda mucho, además esta en el centro de Mérida por lo que tiene una muy buena locación, paseo montejo esta muy cerca y caminar en las tardes por montejo es magico. Muy recomendado!

Un hotel precioso en medio de la ciudad de Mérida, antes tuve la oportunidad de hospedarme en Hacienda Peña Pobre de la CDMX pero ahora me dí la oportunidad de venir a Merida, son hoteles de la misma cadena y ninguno ha decepcionado para nada, el de Mérida especialmente está precioso, una vibe muy tranquila y relajante, la piscina es preciosa y el staff es muy lindo y siempre dispuestos a ayudar, super recomendado!
