We stayed in the hotel for several days, taking two rooms, so we really got to know the place. One of our rooms in the front had a private balcony with chairs and a hammock which was quite nice for hanging out. The rooms and the beds are very comfortable and tastefully designed -- not overbearing luxury but a warm modernist look. The restaurant is also very good and can get crowded from other tourists in the neighborhood (I assume from their AirBNBs). That said, we never had trouble getting a table and always sat down to a very good cup of coffee in the morning. There are also other restaurants nearby to try other fare (we did on a few days) but the Yucatecan-influenced food here is very very good. Aside from the tasteful decor, what really stood out was the staff. I have hardly ever had such a warm and attentive staff in any hotel and want to give a shout out to Jasmine and Jorge, the morning and afternoon/night managers respectively. They helped with everything, as did the owners of the hotel Rita and Jann. They set up an all-day taxi for us to go out to the Mayan ruins, where we hired a guide, and then went to a cenote for lunch and a swim. They also work with a rental car company that drops off and picks up the car from the hotel, which we used for a day trip to the beach. As first time visitors to Merida, they had suggestions and help for everything we wanted, making the stay so easy and stress free. I have done it myself via the web and TripAdvisor recommendations, but this was way easier and in many cases less expensive than tours available online. We also took advantage of the market tour and cooking class for lunch, which was really fun. After shopping and then cooking, we ended up having a long leisurely meal with the other people in the group and then met up with them later for drinks, so really the best kind of experience during vacation. And the food was delicious -- the chef at the hotel runs the classes with help of an interpreter. The hotel was also quiet and the neighborhood about 15 minutes walk from the central district. So we did a fair amount of walking but there are also Ubers and taxis to get around. Overall, I'd rate this hotel 10 stars if available. Truly one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in -- and really the best service I've encountered at any hotel.

Our stay at Hotel Mérida Santiago was very satisfying. The hotel delivers exactly what it promises. The rooms are spacious, which makes the experience very comfortable. Additionally, the staff is organized and the schedules are well-managed, contributing to a seamless stay. They helped us with our luggage before check-in, allowing us to explore the city without carrying it, and did the same after we checked out. This is greatly appreciated and speaks well of their customer service. The food is very tasty. We dined there a couple of times and it was sensational, with both local and international dishes. What we liked most was the warmth and attention of their staff, all led by the charming Gio, who is always attentive to arrivals and welcoming. We recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Mérida looking for comfort and efficiency. We will definitely return on our next visit to the city.

Great experience. We were in room 4, which was spacious with a sitting area, king bed, Nespresso machine ❤️ and mini fridge. Huge bath with double vanities, shower and jetted tub. Staff were great, breakfast was tasty and location in the Santiago n’hood is great.

We enjoyed a fabulous stay and truly did not want to leave. A beautiful and welcoming experience that was the highlight of our trip. The hotel is an oasis of comfort and ease just a short stroll from the main plaza. Everything went smoothly and we felt truly welcome by everyone there. Whether it was the scrumptious breakfasts poolside each morning or an intimate dinner at the onsite restaurant, we enjoyed Constant heartfelt hospitality and care. The staff is amazing = helpful, thoughtful and genuinely happy. They made every day a pleasure! If you're looking for a true boutique hotel experience in a gorgeous setting= book here now. I assure you we will be back soon!

We were looking for a place in Merida (downtown) and came across this place. Turns out to be a good decision. They have 7 rooms in total and have a restaurant and bar onsite (with more then enough staff). Food is good, rooms are big and clean and you can park right in front of the hotel (there are three spots for the hotel only. We did a cooking course, great value for money. The owner ja Dutch, so you can speak Dutch if you want. Also ideal to contact him directly through his own website, he respons very quick.
