Emma Hotel Bologna Fiera

Although we had booked a three-night stay at Hotel Emma, we were forced to leave after the first night due to the appalling conditions and lack of basic standards. The room we were given was in a disgraceful state: • The bed had clearly not been changed, which shows a complete lack of hygiene. • The room was covered in a visible layer of dust, indicating negligence in cleaning. • The shower was broken, with water leaking down the wall and flooding the floor. • The walls were peeling and showed significant signs of wear and tear. • The bathroom door was damaged and had three visible holes. • The air conditioning was not working, forcing us to sleep in temperatures above 30°C. • The wooden windows, with no insulation, let in constant and unbearable noise from the road. The outside conditions were equally unacceptable: • The car park was in a state of complete disrepair, full of potholes and loose sand. • The gardens were completely neglected, overgrown with weeds. At breakfast: • The coffee machine was visibly dirty and poorly sanitised. • The smell of food throughout the lobby and corridors was nauseating and constant. To make matters worse, the hotel advertises itself as being close to the Bologna Fair, when in fact it is located about 8 km away — a clearly misleading claim. I booked this accommodation based on its advertised 4-star rating, but the reality does not meet even the minimum standard of a 2-star hotel. This experience was deeply disappointing and unacceptable for any establishment calling itself a hotel. We consider this a serious situation and demand an immediate explanation, as well as a full refund of the stay.

I stayed here for one night when I first got to Bologna. The service was absolutely outstanding. We accidentally booked at The Emma Hotel in a different area but the staff at the one we were at let us stay for the night for free. The room was beautiful and so was the rest of the hotel. The breakfast was also delicious with a large selection to choose from. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice and clean rooms…!!Towels and sheets changed every day….Nice people willing to help….The hotel is new so everything is new and clean. Delicious Buffet breakfast with many options…. Definitely recommend it!!!!We will be back for sure!!!
