South Beach Plaza Hotel

I never write reviews but this experience was so bad that warrants one. First, I checked in late and there was nobody to be found in the lobby, it took a good 10 minutes before I could find someone. The person that helped me though I was there late with a child , was handling his own business with a person that didn’t speak English and though I was there with tired children , instead of helping me, he asked me to HELP HIM translate!!!! How unprofessional was that??. When we finally got to out room, it was so bad that I wanted to leave running! It smelled so disgusting and was so creepy and dirty( see pictures) . The room was like the types of rooms that you seen in human trafficking documentaries, they even had mirrors placed in “odd” places where if someone was standing outside the window, they could see everybody in room. We were so tired that we ended up sleeping in the bed with the clothes we were wearing and using our own sweaters as blankets. The next day In The morning lucky we found another person in the lobby that even said he did not like that room they assigned us and moved us to another two be room that was not “the villas”. That room was still old and run down but at least it “smelled clean”. It was not throughly clean, and we found lots of hairs just like the other reviews mention. The cleaning in this other is definitely subpar. If you are afraid of COVID do not come here and stay way!! The majority of the staff there are rude and when you ask them something they seem bothered. We met the famous Michelle form the reviews our last day and she is in fact the only nice person in the hotel. The pictures of the websites are deceiving, the outside of the hotel and restaurant look nice but the actual rooms are totally old. I sat on the restaurant once to observe and realized the owner and manger are all about the restaurant and not the hotel or their paying guests. They are all about the party scene with pretty girls, while they rooms are disgusting and maybe just a good place to crash when you are drunk. The location if this hotel is good, but I’m sure you can get much better for the same price. We were on a family vacation but are business owners with new business in town. We were planning on booking this hotel 5 nights a week for our employees traveling out of state for the next 6 months due to business. Is safe to say that is not happening and we found a much nicer place with friendlier people on the same street. My advice, DO NOT COME HERE, unless you are ok with no customer service, dirty rooms and unfriendly staff.

if you intend to sleep forget about it. open bar / club in the middle of hotel, with rooms meters away. very loud night club type music every night till 2am, cant even hear the TV yet along try to sleep. and yes i have used ear plugs but no help. Bar must not be run by hotel, as bar didn’t care and hotel didnt want to know anything about it. also very run down and dirty. More like a backpacker hostel than a hotel.

I visited this hotel on a business trip. The facilities are not as good as I thought. However, the cleanliness, geographical advantages, and the kindness of the staff are very good.In particular, "Miclille" always smiles and guides you despite the cumbersome service. The only reason I'm leaving a review is to share with others that I was very happy to visit Miami because of the staff. Where do I start so My boyfriend and I when to check in I went through Priceline and the deposit was supposed to be 100.00 to hold the room it would be 86.26, The lady ran the card and said everything was okay. She gave us some ideas about where to eat and also told us about breakfast that will be provided in the morning. I will get to that. So she ran my card and said that it didn't go through the first time but I was like didn't make any sense since you ran my card give me the key told me what room we would be staying in. The amount that the hotel is going for you would expect to have a small fridge and also a microwave but no. The room we got didn't have a microwave or small fridge in it. The manager made it seem like I didn't pay for my stay but I did they charged my card a total of 13 times I called my bank and spoke to a rep and supervisor they said that the first time they ran the card was when the money was released to them but they ran 13 timesHopefully I receive my deposit of 100 back on my card. I honestly think that the hotel is not being honest with the advertisement of the hotel they include about the hotel with the kitchen maybe it draws in more people or adding a microwave and small fridge to the one bedroom make it comfortable.

The ideal Hotel if you're looking to stay somewhere near ocean drive. I guess a smoot renovation during the Covid pandemic would have helped. The rooms re somehow OK, bur the bath room definitively needs renovation. Toilet leaked, the safe was just on a chair, and the cleaning could be better, but again... if you're looking for party, then OK.
