Big4 Perth Midland Tourist Park

The hotel service was top notched and very professional for a 3star rating. The staff were very friendly, professional and accommodating. I had to travel early and deposited 2 bags at the counter. They had it sent to my room prior to my arrival as I had arrived late for the check in. The rooms were very clean, no funny smells and the linen were sparkling. Definite good recommendation for good prices.

The location is good. A short drive to the midland gate mall, which is a rather huge mall with shops like Woolworth, Target to get of things done. The chalet is clean and the staff is friendly. The one set back is the WiFi signal is weak. I switch off my WiFi and use my mobile data instead.

We arrived early and the staff were happy to accommodate us checking in early. I had been told via email that the pedal karts were free for members but advised by Rachel at reception they weren’t, but they would allow us to have an hour free. The activity room was great to a degree… the air hockey table was damaged and the table tennis bats were pretty horrible. I went to cook on the communal bbq and it wouldn’t turn on. I realised the circuit breaker had flipped, so once I flipped it back I could use the facilities. The pool and spa area states that the spa was in a heated pool area and not to stay in for more than 15 minutes. The spa was definitely not heated, it was freezing and I confirmed this with reception…. The TV in the room doesn’t offer steaming and our feet were black from walking with no shoes on. The master room fan was either ready for lift off or not moving enough to do anything. We checked out at 9:45am, I said thank you for having us and ignored and I received a phone call around 10:30am asking when we planned to check out…. Overall. Somewhere to stay with a few activities. 3/5

I do not often leave reviews, but on this occasion I need to warn fellow travellers. We booked a concrete slab site for 6 nights and upon arrival this is what we were met with. We were a late arrival which is on us, but we had no forewarning we would be arriving to a broken and unsafe site. We had no other option as the office had closed but to set ourselves up. No forewarning, no contact about the state of the site despite calling them in the afternoon to advise of late arrival. However, to make things worse, I have emailed them about my concerns - more how unsafe the site is that anything - and they have informed me. I just want people to be warned of what might meet them upon arrival.

Pillows are good but I think I've left my own pillow in chalet 11 . I will be back in perth again and will be booking in again at the Big 4 . I like staying there it is friendly and good people. Close to the midland gate shopping centre and all other places you would like to see .
