Quality Inn Carlisle PA

Horrific Hotel Experience | Nov. 2024 I regret not researching this hotel before booking, which is my fault. However, I’ve had many positive experiences with Quality Inn hotels, so I didn’t feel the need to check. I won’t make that mistake again. This Quality Inn was appalling, and the customer service was equally disappointing, except for the night-time front desk clerk, Jessica. She was the only helpful person, understanding my frustration and assisting with my expedited refund. Here are the issues my family and I encountered upon entering the room: -Strong smell of gas or exhaust, particularly inside the suite -Mold in the toilet, tub, and shower -Dirty carpet -Stained bedsheets -Spiderwebs on the ceiling -Dusty, worn furniture -Torn and stained lampshade -Holes in the walls where paintings were likely stolen -Filthy walls -Ripped phone book cover Additionally, I booked a Non-Smoking Double Queen Suite, and my reservation email confirmed this. However, upon check-in, we were given a regular Double Queen room. After noticing how small the room was, we returned to the lobby to confirm if it was the suite. The daytime clerk insisted we had booked a regular room. I showed them the email proving otherwise, and they reluctantly upgraded us without an apology. We left for the afternoon and returned late in the evening after a sporting event. It was then that we fully realized how bad the suite was. My wife and I were relieved we hadn’t unpacked, as we immediately wanted to leave. Jessica, the night clerk, informed us that she couldn’t help with returning my points since I booked through Choice Hotels but insisted I contact them. After speaking with Choice Hotels, who also spoke directly with Jessica, I was approved for a full, immediate refund. I’ve learned my lesson to always do my research, even with trusted brands like Quality Inn. Additionally, after our sporting event, my family and I ate at a nearby diner. When my wife mentioned we were staying at the Quality Inn, the waitress advised us against it, saying, “I would strongly suggest you not stay at that hotel.” DO NOT STAY HERE! Looks good from outside, room was very shabby, dirty carpet in a pet room, lampshades literally falling apart, bathtub peeling, holes in wall pretty shabby for almost $100 per night, glad it's only one night. Stayed in Quality inn Richland SC, very nice, not all the same I guess

Please stay elsewhere . The bathroom was the worst example I have seen in 30 years. Bottom of the bathtub had a hole in it which was actually patched and of course was peeling. Stains everywhere. TV set didn’t work. They don’t make up the bed or provide fresh towels unless you ask for it. I found a dirty face cloth hanging on the shower rod from a previous customer. When I told the manager about it he nonchalantly told me to put it on the floor in the hallway and someone would pick it up. And I said like I’m gonna touch that?All this luxury for $169 a night. You can do better. I just can’t figure out how I book this on an online booking website and they had it rated with great customer reviews. Now I know that they most likely are fake.

This is the worst Quality Inn that I have ever stayed at. We were on our way to NY State and decided to stop for the night and chose this Quality Inn. First we walk in he is talking on his phone took him a little bit to get off it. We got our room and it was disgusting: mold on the ceiling smelled like wet dog the carpet looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in a long time, and the bath tub was peeling. I just don’t understand why Choice Hotels would want to be affiliated with this Quality Inn. It has had lots of bad reviews. PLEASE don’t stay there if you don’t have to!!!!!!

The hotel lobby was nicely upgraded. The hotel desk workers seem more interested in their computer then their guests. Room was upgraded bathroom partially upgraded( walls needed skim coat or textured). Have seen better DIY jobs. Breakfast. If you want to call it that, day 1- no hard boiled eggs, only 3 bread items available( this was 7:30 in the morning) no fresh fruit available, I literally watched them POUR, yes POUR liquid ish microwave scrambled eggs into the serving pan. Sausage was ok. Hotel appeared to be fully booked. I realized this doesn’t happen all the time. But it is Carlisle and a car show weekend, they should know to prepare for that. Day 2. Hotel parking lot had barely any cars, you would think breakfast would be better, right? Big NO! Only offerings were waffles, cereal, oranges, and yogurt. No bread items, no eggs, no meat. Sunday is the day off according to hotel staff???? Day off from feeding guests appropriately at breakfast? We have stopped staying at Choice hotels due to hotels falling into disrepair or no upgrading. I realize these hotels are individually owned but if they are representing Choice hotels you would think the corporation would have minimum guidelines that require their hotels to meet. We had points to cover our stay, so thankful we didn’t pay for any of it. No more Choice hotels for us. Best Western much nicer hotel chain!

I'm so glad I found this hotel. Pleasant and friendly staff. They went above and beyond to make sure the guests are happy, comfortable and relaxed after a day's work or drive. They cater to big trucks and have large truck parking. The hotel was designed for truck drivers. That's very nice to know for truck drivers. The rooms were neat and very clean. I'd like to give a shout out to employee Holli Miller, who I met during my short stay. Thank you for everything and making my stay pleasant and relaxing. This is a place I will return to when in the area or just passing through.
