Residence Inn Midland

Stayed for a couple of nights and the room was nice even though it was like sleeping under a jumbo jet when the super loud air conditioner kicked on. Otherwise room was good. NOW THE REALLY BAD PART..DON'T BOOK EVEN CONSIDERING THE BREAKFAST WHICH WAS THE WORST WE'VE SEEN IN DECADES. THE FIRST DAY THEY HAD FAKE EGGS, PURE WHITE TURKEY SAUSAGE, ALMOST NO OTHER CHOICE SO WE WENT TO M'S... THE SECOND DAY THEY HAD PRE-WRAPPED HAM AND EGG TERRIBLE LOOKING SANDWICHES AND THE SAME GROSS EGGS AGAIN WITH LITTLE ELSE. WENT TO BOB EVANS. DON'T ADVERTISE BREAKFAST AT ALL IF YOU THROW GARBAGE OUT THERE AT NEARLY $300 A NIGHT. THEY DIDN'T EVEN TRY AND EVEN THE COFFEE WASN'T FIT TO DRINK. BOTH MORNINGS AT AROUND 8AM THERE NO ONE EATING ALTHOUGH OCCUPANCY SEEMED HIGH........ I'D BE ASHAMED, ANOTHER MARRIOT FAIL. SAVE A FEW PENNIES AND LOSE RENTAL OF OVERPRICED ROOMS................ EXCELLENT MANAGEMENT PLAN

I stayed here for 4 weeks and was very impressed with the staff, hotel, comfort & cleanliness. very well laid out with plenty of space. the common areas are very light and open. Easily located with a large car park. The breakfast buffet was good and the small store covered emergencies

Very clean, friendly, quiet and the whole place - including the room,appliances,furniture - all looked new. My only dislikes: the couch and bed were extra extra firm and that was not comfortable for me. Refrigerator was loud as was hvac system.

I have stayed her several times over the last couple years. The room is always comfortable, clean, and quiet. The first few times the service and friendliness of the staff was above and beyond and they genuinely made me feel welcomed at every level. On my most recent stay, the room was perfect as always but the staff seemed less outgoing and a little glum or unhappy. Several days after checking out my card was hit with a pet fee of $100. My dog was with me, as always, but she is a registered service dog, which they cannot charge a fee for. I made them aware I would have a service dog with me both when booking the room and upon check-in. I called the hotel and the charge was reversed the same day and the manager apologized for the error. Overall, a great place to stay and I will likely stay here many more times when I am in the area. I hope they do more for their staff to brighten their days though. When the staff is happy they will reflect that same happiness on the customers. There was such a difference on this last visit.

This is my 2nd time visiting this Residence Inn. I read some bad reviews so I decided to clarify few things. The breakfast is pretty good. It’s your standard hotel breakfast but had different menus everyday. My husband usually needs to go to Starbucks for coffee but even the coffee was decent. I would like to add that we are from NYC and we are food snobs but found the breakfast to be acceptable. We got a 2 br and our stay was comfortable. Our room was clean and had a nice kitchen but we didn’t cook. We also didn’t get to use the gym or the indoor pool but I saw few kids having a good time. This is great hotel for families. Beware, there were many dogs and it you are not a dog person, you will not like it. Some barked all the time.
