Any complaints you see about the food or whatnot must have come from people with too-high expectations for a mid-range safari camp. The food was fine, the pool is nice, the rooms are comfortable if a little rustic, and the location is very convenient to the park entrance. Is it a luxury resort? No, but that doesn't seem to be much of an option around Mikumi.

Incredibly comfortable and clean rooms. Delicious food with an extensive range with buffet-style. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Great facilities. Perfect location for Mikumi National Park and traditional Maasai village visit. We didn't use the pool but it didn't look very clean.

Slept here during a safari in Mikumi. It was so nice! We were three girls in a 3-man room wich they also sprayed at night to prevent mosquitoes! The staff were helpful and friendly! There was a chef making eggs for breakfast and I think the food was modified to fit our western preferences. We also got lunch boxes on our safari game drives! And there is a pool😌

What an oasis in the bush! Delightful staff, delightful setting, powerful hot water. Grubs not bad either. 5000 for a beer which isn’t bad for a tourist place. If you’re safari-ing in Mikumi you should defo try here. There’s even a pool which is delightful after the dust!

We spent 3 nights at camp bastien. The rooms are very large and big, there are the moschitos net but not the Windows (the nights are cool). The pool is very very beautiful. The buffer is very small (not very confortable when there are more than 3 people), the food is good, but not excellent. The wifi only at the reception (this is not very confortable). We had always hot water for the shower. I would recommend (15 minutes from mikumi gate entrance)

I went with my friends from Jamaica, they really loved the place as I always do. Accommodations, meals and the environment in general are always amazing. Camp Bastian is always my home away home when am around Mikumi and Morogoro. I have no more words to say to you lather than recommending you and come back here to correct me wrong.

A very, very very nice place to stay when visiting Mikumi National Park. When you arrive in the hotel; you feel you are just in an oasis of quietness and green. There are several bungalows , and they are spotless clean. The pool is really nice and helps relax after a day in the car. Food is tasty and nice , and works as a buffet. Hotel also organised the entrance in the park, the guide , car and chauffeur. It was perfectly organised (including delicious lunch pack !) staff id amicable and helpful.
