We had booked for 4 people and 2 children. When we arrived at the hotel, the beds for the children had not been prepared and we only had one. As a result, we slept on a small sofa for one of the children. At reception, nothing had been prepared in advance and the receptionist wanted to charge us for it even though it had already been paid for when we made the reservation.

No service, no gesture, we paid for the child's bed that we had not had the first night. No professionalism.
The least we could have done would have been to offer or make a gesture, like the bottle of wine we had bought.
