The hotel is located at the centre of 黑川溫泉區, which is quite rural so highly recommended to go by car. The service is excellent! The staff helped us to park the car and take the luggages up the stairs to our Japanese style family room. We have ordered full board package and both meals are gorgeous. There are many onsens in the hotel which are non-reserved and private, allowing family to enjoy onsen together. One drawback is that there are many stairs so elderly might have to take it into consideration.

Top notch friendly front desk staffs with smiling face all the time. Service is excellent, they even help me to park my car and take my luggage to the room. My room has a private onsen and it was surprisingly big. The public onsen in the hotel is also very nice particularly the outdoor pool where you can hear natural water flowing sound from the stream below. The dinner was great even though I am not a big fan of horse meat. Cleanliness and tidiness is impressive. Breakfast was in Japanese style, but you can still have a cup of drip filtered coffee. Overall I love this hotel very much and will prefer to stay there if I happen to go there again.

Ryokan Yumotoso is in a perfect location in the quaint town of Kurokawa. There are about 12 rooms only, hence its quite a quiet and small establishment. Service staff are all great, and the room view is fantastic looking over the beautiful river. The open onsen also overlooks nature, and private onsens are rustic. As per Ryokans, breakfasts and dinners are included, and so far, we have never been disappointed with food in Ryokans, including Yumotoso. Do note that parking lots are limited, and the lane leading to Yumotoso is rather narrow. Would recommend Yumotoso for its great location, fantastic room view and rustic environment.

I searched for Kurokawa Onsen on Ctrip for a long time. Because I booked late, few hotels had rooms. This one looked good for the price. I bought a round-trip ticket from Hakata Bus Terminal. It took 3 hours to get here one way. Going down the slope, this Misato is close to the entrance. The room is Japanese style, the bed is a single bed, and the whole hotel feels quite clean. I chose a one-night stay and two-night stay. The dinner and breakfast are both Japanese style, which is pleasing to the eye and tastes okay. It can fill you up. The hot springs are divided into indoor hot springs and open-air hot springs. I took two open-air baths at night. They are sulfur hot springs. It's quite comfortable. There is a convenience store across the hotel where you can buy food. There is a slope down and there are many shops.

The room is spacious, clean and the service is friendly. Dinner was also very delicious. There are many hot springs to choose from, and the indoor hot springs are 24 hours a day. It is recommended to soak in the open-air hot spring early in the morning. The mist in the morning is like a fairyland!

You don't have to walk around. It's so cold. The hot spring is very comfortable and the price is good. 2. It includes Kaiseki dinner and exquisite breakfast (both cost-effective). When you arrive at the hotel, the staff will ask about the meal time and arrange it very well. All seats are designated and very private. 3. If you want to go from Kurokawa Onsen to Hakata, remember to book tickets online in advance. We asked the staff to help us book tickets when we arrived at the hotel. It would be embarrassing if we couldn't book them. The hotel has a shuttle bus to the bus station, which is very considerate. 4. There is an old man who can speak English at the front desk. He is very good, very responsible, and the communication is very smooth. 5. The hotel has a shuttle bus to the hot spring street 6. For guests who have made reservations, the hotel has someone to meet you in the parking lot and confirm your name. 7. Slippers will be given according to the room. In general, Kurokawa-so is a relatively niche attraction with only 2-3 buses arriving every day, but it is indeed a hot spring resort.
