We went on a family trip and stayed at Dream Dragon on the coldest day during the Spring Festival. I stayed here once more than 5 years ago and was very impressed. It is a pure Japanese style, and the dinner and breakfast are so rich that you can't help but lean on the wall. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and quiet, and the water quality of the hot spring is excellent, but remember to bring towels from the room, there are no towels in the hot spring. The snacks are delicious. The puffs and coffee shops in Kurokawa Town are very good. There are century-old shops everywhere. It is a quaint place.

The hotel is located on a plateau plain, which is very affected by the weather. There is often heavy fog and hazy phenomena, and the scenery may not necessarily be good. However, the air is very fresh and the temperature is perfect. In addition, the hotel facilities are good and the food is very diverse and attractive. The room is so big and convenient for picking up luggage. Because the location is not very convenient, it is only recommended for self-driving travelers.

The hotel is located at the centre of 黑川溫泉區, which is quite rural so highly recommended to go by car. The service is excellent! The staff helped us to park the car and take the luggages up the stairs to our Japanese style family room. We have ordered full board package and both meals are gorgeous. There are many onsens in the hotel which are non-reserved and private, allowing family to enjoy onsen together. One drawback is that there are many stairs so elderly might have to take it into consideration.

Excellent service by the staffs! Very warm and welcoming. It was raining heavily that day, but one of the staff helped to wipe down our luggage when it wasn't necessary and helped to bring it up to the room as we were too early for check-in. When we came back, the luggages were near a heater for quick drying... just a neat detail that we very much appreciated. The dinner and breakfast were one of our most delicious and memorable meals in Japan. Words are not enough to describe it! The outdoor hot spring doesn't have much a view, but it was still nice! Hope I am able to come back and enjoy the ryokan experience again!

This is a small and exquisite family hotel. The staff is kind and friendly. There are two hot springs, indoor and outdoor. I booked a room with two meals and two single beds with a tatami. It is clean and tidy. There is a separate toilet but no bathroom. You have to go to the hotel's hot spring area to take a bath. But this is also very convenient. The hotel is remote, and you have to take a taxi to go to Kurokawa Naka. When you arrive at the hotel, the staff will ask about the meal time and arrange it very well. All seats are designated and very private. 3. If you want to go from Kurokawa Onsen to Hakata, remember to book tickets online in advance. We asked the staff to help us book tickets when we arrived at the hotel. It would be embarrassing if we couldn't book them. The hotel has a shuttle bus to the bus station, which is very considerate. 4. There is an old man who can speak English at the front desk. For guests who have made reservations, the hotel has someone to meet you in the parking lot and confirm your name. 7. Slippers will be given according to the room. Kurokawa Onsen is a hot spring town near Aso. It has many hot spring hotels and some of them have a long history. Relatively speaking, the hot spring facilities are also a bit old. I was a little worried about this trip, but after arriving, Kurokawa Ryokan Kurokawaso made me very satisfied in all aspects. Ctrip's customer service was very considerate and helped me make an appointment for the hotel pick-up. You should know that the hotel is a bit far from the center of the town and the station, especially if you are carrying two large suitcases. What's even better is that there is a hot spring pool in the room, one indoor and one outdoor. If you are a couple or a couple, you don't have to go to the men's and women's hot springs separately. Of course, the hotel also has a private family bath that can be reserved for one hour each time. In general, Kurokawa-so is a relatively niche attraction with only 2-3 buses arriving every day, but it is indeed a hot spring resort. If you like to take a hot spring bath, you can also buy a hot spring hand shape to experience the hot springs of 3 different hotels and experience the different ingredients and therapeutic effects. Kurokawa-so is a very good choice. I am very satisfied with this trip!

Drive to Kurokawa Onsen for 7 minutes and drive to Aso Volcano for 1 hour. Unfortunately, Aso volcano is still in a dangerous period from 2019 to the present.
