This is really a motel and would be ok if they invested in space heaters. We stayed there in January and it was 35 degrees outside and close to it in the room. I read this in the reviews and booked anyway but I cannot recommend this place. The restaurant was closed, it is several blocks from the main square, and the rooms are a step above camping outdoors. It was a miserable experience.

Stayed there the night before a trip to the butterfly sanctuary, the rooms were clean but there was NO heat in the room, we arrived at 6:30 PM and the restaurant was closed. I also thought they were overpriced for the quality of the room. Would not stay there again

It is always a pleasure to go to Don Gabino. The warmth of the service, the flavor, the comfort are unmatched. The rooms are always clean and the place allows you to rest and enjoy nature. Its location is optimal for visiting 2 of the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuaries, El Rosario and Sierra Chincua, and you can also walk directly to the center of town because it is on the main street. 10/10

It is a simple hotel, with the basics and located at the entrance of the town; it is far from the centre of the town on foot. The only problem we saw was the service and the attention of the employees; you have to take into account that it is a place of passage or specifically for going to the butterfly sanctuary, many people go there expecting good treatment and hospitality. That was hard for us to find here.
