Sri Sharavi Beach Villas & Spa - with 43 Metre Saltwater Infinity Pool

We booked this resort after seeing it on several websites and thought it would be a perfect location. The ocean front location and beach looked fantastic. Through our travel agent we booked an Ocean deluxe suite that was not cheap ( probably £350/ 400 per night) we thought opening the doors in the morning and walking out onto the ocean facing balcony would be fantastic. When we checked in we were shown to our suite, it was a fantastic room with vaulted ceiling and a full length wall of glass looking out to a rooftop garden and a small set of doors with a view of the ocean between 2 buildings. When we checked with Kenny the manager to make sure we had the correct room it was , a deluxe suite has a partial sea view. ( my fault I should have double checked before booking) Still shell shocked from that and after unpacking we decided to go down to the beach and have a drink and relax. We got to the bar ordered a drink and then walked to the beach and almost fell off the 12 foot high retaining wall and onto the rocks where the beach used to be. THE BEACH HAS GONE, washed away, thousands of tonnes of sand has gone. When I asked Kenny about the beach he shrugged his shoulders and said it used to be there but had been washed away but hopefully it will be washed back again, I said he needs an engineering project like the Jumeirah Palm to get the beach back. We stayed here for 7 days, all the staff are great and very helpful. The 45 metre infinity pool was beautiful. The suite we had was lovely. I could not fault the hotel nor its staff except that it is vastly overpriced ( + they add 10% service 18% VAT& 2.5% ) 30.5% to every thing, but to sell yourself as a beach resort you really do need to have a beach

We were back in Mirissa and Weligama, our all-time favourite hotspots, and kicked off our holiday with a visit to the stunning Sri Sharavi Beach Villas for lunch , just a short 10-minute drive from Mirissa. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Kenny, the villa manager, whose hospitality set the tone for the rest of our experience. The layout of the property is absolutely beautiful, with four stylish buildings, each housing three elegant rooms and suites, plus two additional rooms alongside a serene spa. One of the standout features is the 43m infinity saltwater pool, which I believe is the largest in the area, an absolute showstopper! We couldn’t resist spending some time by the pool, soaking in the views and enjoying the tranquil atmosphere. The food was equally memorable, with every dish served to perfection. The service from the team was nothing short of outstanding, friendly, attentive, and always ready with a smile. I highly recommend Sri Sharavi Beach Villas to anyone looking for a mix of luxury, relaxation, and exceptional service in Mirissa. Whether you’re stopping by for a meal or planning a stay, it’s a place that will leave a lasting impression.

After a busy trip around sri lanka, Sri Sharavi was just what we needed. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and looked after. The rooms are absolutely beautiful overlooking the ocean that has waves flowing day and night. The pool was fantastic as were the happy hour coctails. The food reminded me of early fine dining days in Australia, the fresh fish was magnificent. We liked the location , being away from the busy part of Mirrisa, but still close enough to jump in a tuk tuk to explore. Special mention to Suranga and Mudu, we loved your service and chats. Sri Sharavi Beach Villas and Spa was the perfect resort to spend our last night and final full day in Sr Lanka. The welcome on arrival was warm and we were grateful for the cool towel and refreshing drink. Our villa was spacious and beautifully appointed and the view spectacular. We especially enjoyed the sound of the waves coming into shore. We dined on the balcony of our villa and appreciated a delicious dinner. The wait staff were friendly and attentive and looked after us brilliantly. Lounging by the pool was relaxing, and again the service was excellent. We had an early start for whale watching and the resort kindly prepared a packed breakfast for us to take along. Our stay here captured the beauty of Sri Lanka and the friendliness of the Sri Lankan people.

The kindest and most helpful staff we could wish for on our honeymoon and we believe the best food in Marissa. We feel as though we are leaving friends behind. Thanks Dimatu, Madu, Gayan, Chataranga and Suranga. Sorry about my terrible spelling!

We had a wonderful stay at the Sri Sharavi, the accommodation and service was excellent All the accommodation was lovely, but if budget will allow I would highly recommend the ocean signature suites, which have wonderful views of the ocean. The rooms are split between4 villas and you are able to use the open air lounge and kitchen in your villa which is a lovely touch, breakfast and dinner can also be served here , it gives you that feeling that you have your own private villa. The beach side dining area is a real treat and I will remember that view long after my tan has faded. Food was expensive but of a very high standard. We can't single out any one member of staff as they were all so wonderful, always ready to help, no request to small and always with lovely smiles on their faces. You got the impression that they enjoyed working at Sri Sharavi and they wanted us to love it as much as they did. The location was beautiful, so photogenic, it was a real shame that the beach had disappeared and that access to the beach either side is limited, but reading a reply to a recent review it looks like its on its way back. That said once you get used to it not being there and with the pool being so lovely we didn't really miss it anyway.
