I stayed here for a week in September 2023. It's over an hour from the airport in a hire car and there's a decent free car park available at the front of the hotel. The staff here are mostly friendly and helpful. The hotel is generally clean and in a great location. Molyvos is not too far to walk to, assuming reasonable mobility, or a short drive. It's a beautiful place, with little streets and a castle to explore, as well as the coastline bars and restaurants. The pool area is pleasant enough, with a great view of the town and castle. I had a pleasant beer and Greek salad here. There's a rough, pebble and grit beach if you prefer and the far end of the beach is very liberated and used by naturists to get their all over tans. Breakfast was a bit limited in terms of variety and quality but you'll not go hungry. The views from the breakfast balcony are lovely. The room was a different story. The rooms are very dated. The hotel was built in the 60/70's and many of it's original features are still there today. Some of the nostalgia is charming but there's those that would want to update. There's a radio in the drawer for example. Remember the headboard or drawer radios from the 70's? I never expected to be in this time warp but there I was. The beds were low and not particularly comfortable. The bedding was not changed during my time there and nor were the towels. I started with two towel and when I left one in the shower tray for changing, that was it gone. It was not replaced. There are readers that might be thinking that they would just go and sort it out with reception but I wanted to see what happens in order to get a better idea of what the hotel is really like. The room and bathroom were not cleaned properly and I realised that one of the cleaners was looking in the wardrobe each day. I can't say anything was taken but it's intrusive. The shower handle would not stay on the wall clip and I mastered the art of holding the shower head whilst I had a one handed wash. Soap and shower gel is supplied in dispensers but take your own. Take your own kettle and coffee/tea too as you get none in the room. There is a fridge and television if you need them, along with a free safe in the wardrobe. I doubt I'll go back to Lesbos but there's some lovely places and people here. This hotel could be so much better but as it is, it's good value for money if you can manage the shortcomings. The location is the main attraction.
