Two-night stay with my husband for his bday. The balcony of our room had an impressive view of the ocean once we were moved to a different room. And the beach staff members were very friendly. Janet and the racial minority front desk agents were nice and welcoming. The location is pretty convenient. The blond, heavy set lady from the front desk was condescending and can’t be bothered to help. Upon checkout, she acted like I was invisible, though she was friendly and attentive to white folks. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed we’ve ever had — and we travel all over the world, spending more than 100 nights annually at hotels. No amenities, like a restaurant, bar, or any kind of food service. No elevator that can take you to the 2nd floor, which may be an issue for those with disabilities. The water pressure in the shower is very weak. The room itself was very small and outdated, with a carpet that needed to be changed a few years ago. The carpet in the balcony is quite disgusting and housekeeping didn’t vacuum it during our stay. The indoor pool is far away from the ocean. No gym of any kind. The WiFi didn’t work at all during our stay, which was supposed to be included with the $35/day resort fee.
