Wavecrest Resort

Amazing views, beautiful beach, and the weather held up perfect for us. The accommodations were nice with a grilling area, indoor pool, and games. Friendly staff and a good location near fun shopping, hiking trails, landmarks, and good food.

My Husband and I go to Wavecrest every year for our Anniversary in May. This year we went back again in October. We love this place. The views, the indoor pool, and each unit is decorated differently with ample supplies for our use! This time, unit 107 in the overlook building was superb. One of the most comfortable beds, and loved the decor! We love how huge the balcony is. Marla was our housekeeping attendant and so personable and helpful! We will continue to come back!

My husband and I have been coming to the Wavecrest for 35+ years and have always had a positive experience. The staff at reception are always friendly and Kathy is always helpful when asking for specific rooms. It is the best place in Montauk that is right on the ocean and still have rates that don’t break the bank, which is hard to come by in Montauk. The rooms, as well as the grounds are always well maintained and if the weather isn’t favorable for the beach, they have a great pool. I highly recommend this place to stay.

There is so much I love about this place. I loved the building I was in. Steps from the beach and from an amazing food truck. (wish that food truck didn't close at 3) For anything else, you need to go to town which is a pretty far walk. You need a car. I was also steps from the great pool which is kind of indoors but also feels outdoor with a wide front facing glass wall. The lifeguard, George, couldn't have been nicer. He told me when I should come back at a time when he could take the rope down and let me swim the length of the pool. At the beach, you could request that chairs and an umbrella be set out for you. One thing that didn't work for me was the WiFi. It was spotty and phone calls went in and out no matter where I stood in the room. Since there's no landline in the room, that's great for feeling disconnected but not so great if you're not Thoreau. Also, choose where you want to be carefully. In my case, i loved being on the beach but that does take you further away from the main road which is up a long and steep hill. Not an issue with a car. There's a Hamptons Hopper shuttle but it doesn't always go where you want to go and, again, it's a hike to get it at the front of the resort. It was a terrific stay.

We really enjoyed our visit to the Wavecrest Ocean Resort. A bbq our first night, a walk along the ocean, and a beautiful sunset. Our king one bedroom was nicely appointed and comfortable (except for the lumpy mattress). A beautiful view of the ocean and a fully equipped kitchen to prepare breakfast and enjoy it on our ocean front deck. We’ re looking forward to another visit in the future.

The location is beautiful and also convenient to Montauk town as well as Amagansett. The suite was very clean and had everything I needed. The deck looks out to the ocean. The staff were all professional and courteous. It was my third time there.
