Very central hotel in Monticatino, 5 minutes walk from the train station in Monticatino Central, really friendly and helpful staff, would thoroughly recommend a short stay here. We stayed for 4 nights and visited Florence, Pisa and Lucca, as well as Monticatini Alto

Lovely family run hotel, like a home away from home. Good food, very clean and lovely staff ready to help. The rooms are nice, we upgraded to a room with a terrace which was a nice add on for relaxing privately. Lovely courtyard and a good central location for visiting near by places such as Florence/ Pisa and other smaller towns. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

Why oh why would anybody write a negative review? I have carefully read the reviews prior to holiday and came hoping for the best, expecting the best but accepting it may not be brilliant. My hope and expectation has been fulfilled; a 3-star establishment with WONDERFUL staff, some young and English a little struggle but my goodness, what a lovely bunch of people running this hotel. If you want to criticise you are clearly at the wrong establishment so book yourselves in somewhere else. These people are caring, attentive and eager to meet everybody’s needs. I 🫶🏼 Hotel Reale (room 348), we will return here in a heartbeat if we make a further visit to Montecatini (easy Pisa-Pisa Mover to Centrale-Lucca-Mintecatini; 7mins max walking to hotel in a Z-shape)🇮🇹👍🏼💃🏼 Thank you Hotel Reale XxX

We stayed in Hotel Reale in June 2025 for 4 nights. The hotel and it's location are fantastic as being close to both stations and the centre of town. The hotel has a wonderful outside court yeard which gets the sun and is a great place to enjoy an afternoon aperitif (or two). The staff cannot be faulted especially Angela on reception who was charming and so helpful during our stay when we needed her assistance. The decor of the hotel is a little dated and in some areas may need some attention but overall is of an acceptable standard. The food at breakfast is basic but fills it's need. The evening meals were OK although could do with some improvements in choice. Overall a great hotel to use as a Base for Tuscany and the staff especially do a great job. Would happily stay again if we visit this region if Italy another time.

This was a really good deal through travel zoo. Such value for money and far exceeded our expectations. Montecatini was unknown to us but such a great location to see this part of Italy with great train links to Pisa, Lucca and Florence. Hotel set back from road with tall trees and pool out front. Smell of jasmine was divine. Lovely staff, friendly, clean rooms,plenty of hot water and we didn't find the bed uncomfortable! Neither did we find the food tasteless. It was plentiful and filling and particularly enjoyed the semifreddo. Good choice too at both breakfast and dinner. We did go to the opera evening which was jolly. Purists might criticize the acoustic and the piano accompaniment felt a little bashed out in the first half. However they were enthusiastic and served desserts at the interval.

Had a relaxing 4 night stay in this charming family-run hotel in Montecatini Terme. The dedicated and hard-working team really makes your stay special. Must mention Angela and Sara at reception for their friendliness and ability to resolve any concerns quickly. Food was honest and home-cooked style, great breakfast selection. Many grander "names" in Montecatini hotels, but you won't get a warmer experience than Hotel Reale. Thank you for making my daughter and I feel so at home. While in the town make sure you see all it has to offer. Hotel front desk really helpful with information about Tettuccio (old spa complex), opera tickets, funicular to Montecatini Alto and any trips you wish to take. There is more to do in Montecatini Terme than we expected, but you are perfectly placed to explore Florence, Lucca and the rest of Tuscany if you choose.Highly recommend this place for a relaxing break.

Beds are uncomfortable, food is repetitive and tasteless, unappetizing, bland and pasta overcooked ! The proprietor is not a happy person, walks around with never a smile to offer his guests. He makes you feel unwelcome! The only nice things about this hotel is the outdoor setting, the front desk staff and the dining room staff. I do not recommend this hotel.

Great location in a lovely Spa town. This hotel is family run and the staff are excellent. Very friendly and happy to help with anything. Lovely garden area to sit at the front and inviting swimming pool. Rooms quite basic but clean and comfortable. Overall an enjoyable stay all round.
